Dave Cameron has cancer
Last week, I was informed that I have Acute Myeloid Leukemia, a particularly nasty member of the cancer family.
Pretty awful news. Big time prayers going out for Cameron.

I was very sorry to hear this news. I have a deep respect for Dave and appreciate the service that he provides to all of. He should find comfort that he has many people directing positive energy his direction. All the best Dave.
Sincerely hoping for a full recovery.
I don’t read a lot of Dave’s material anymore, but I can count myself among those who closely followed USSM back in its heyday. If it weren’t for Dave and DMZ, I can confidently say that I wouldn’t be as interested in advanced statistics or sabermetrics as I am now. Dave definitely helped me gain a new appreciation for baseball. I’m hoping everything goes well.

Thoughts and prayers are with Dave and his family.
Makes the losing streak seem really insignificant, get well Dave.
If I had to make a list of the people who have been the most important to me currently being a Mariners fan
You’d see Ken Griffey Jr., Randy Johnson, Alex Rodriguez, Dave Niehaus and Dave Cameron would be right up there with them.

Totally agree. Dave Cameron is the reason I know so much more about baseball than I did when I was hopeful before 2008.
