Ryan Langerhans cleared waivers and will play for Tacoma
Ryan Langerhans and the Mariners keep trying to quit each other, but the pull is just too strong. As safety nets go, there's nothing wrong with using the safety net you know will hold, as opposed to a safety net you don't.

Awesome.
I admit being a bigger Langerhans fan than his talent merits, but he does have objective merit as well and I’m happy to see that Tacoma finally has a guy who can actually play CF.

He's our only CF who isn't dying right now.

No, Saunders will be with the M's for the rest of the season unless they bring in another CF in addition to Gutierrez
Wedge has already said Gutierrez won’t be playing every day. So you’re looking at a Gutierrez/Saunders time share in CF with a likely Saunders/Wilson/Peguero time share in LF as well. There is no one on the team able to play CF besides Saunders and Gutierrez (no, Ichiro doesn’t count for a number of reasons).
Unlike most 31-year-olds who go back to AAA
Langerhans is not all that much older than the guy who took his spot on the major league roster.
I would not be surprised at all to see Langerhans back up with the M's this year
If Gutierrez can’t get healthy, Saunders can’t turn it around, or Wilson/Peguero both struggle, I would assume Langerhans will be back. If the team goes to a 5 man bench, his great corner OF defense, patient LH approach with some power, and ability to cover 1B would be nice to have on the team. If Kennedy gets the boot when Ackley comes up, Langerhans’ ability to cover 1B would be even more useful.
Who else to the M's have internally that they could bring up to the MLB team?
If Wilson or Peguero are clearly overmatched and need to be sent down, who else is there? Are you going to play Gimenez in the OF?
Tui is a theoretical option in a DH/1B/emergency 3B/RF/LF way.
Halman has a broken wrist and is unlikely to be back for a while.
Jake Shaffer’s about the only other OF in AA or AAA who has shown enough ability to hit to be considered for a call up and that’s both rushing him and a bit of a reach.
I'll admit to be a bit of a Langerhans fan like others here
But honestly, I don’t know who else the M’s would turn to.
I am happy that he is still in the organization because I like him
but isn’t he good enough to help a contending team that needs a bench OF? How have the Dodgers not claimed him to help with the OF defense in late innings?
My NBA team got stolen so now I settle for rooting against Kobe.
I agree, I was somewhat surprised he wasn't snagged by someone.
Left-handed, good pop in his bat, can draw a walk, good speed, can handle CF… Not a world-beater, but I feel he belongs somewhere on a MLB roster. I hope he gets back before he gets too old.
Yea, there are teams with an outside shot at contention that could use him
As I said before, you’d think he and the Dodgers are a perfect match
