Luis Rodriguez in the lineup as Figgins' thumb still hurts
We also get Miguel Olivo batting cleanup as Jack Cust gets the day off against a tough lefty. The difference between a day on and a day off for Jack Cust is that on his days off he watches pitches go by without holding a bat in his hands.

hehehe.... It was a BASE HI..... oh wait....
Yeah….after blowing many opportunities to get runners in yesterday? Sure…. let’s move him up in the order!
Still weird to bat a low OBP guy, and a huge DP threat fourth.
If 2 or 3 of our first 3 batters get on, there’s probably a DP opportunity.
If none get on, a super-low OBP guy leads off an inning.
In what universe is Miguel Olivo a huge double play threat?
He averages 11 per 162 games which took one check to his baseball-reference page to find out.
And on a per-rate basis, his GIDP/GIDP opportunities is below league average.
Miguel Olivo is a low DP threat for his career
You and your "stats"
Anecdotes trump data, and Immediate history trumps everything.
Where’s Joe Morgan when you need him?

Righty sock!
They could put Smoak there, but I feel like they want to keep him lower in the order to keep pressure off of him. Beyond that you’ve got some lefties, Luis Rodriguez and Brendan Ryan.
That being said, Miguel Olivo is our #4 hitter, just two days after Adam Kennedy was our #3 hitter. Whee!
At least Luis gets "rewarded" with playing again.
Although I’m sure it’s actually because of Figgins’ thumb and not the walkoff hit.
"I would like my undies back"
Then you probably would have had an untimely death too.
...and now I'm here

Getting it on with Marilyn Monroe and Jackie O might have made it worth it.
Dawg! He put da team on his back!
At least, unlike ironically batless Adrian Beltre,
ironically batless Jack Cust has the good sense not to swing.
