One of my favorite things about the Superbowl, besides the game, the commercials and the almost guaranteed massacre of the national anthem is that it means players reporting for spring training is within spitting distance.  Then two weeks later the games begin and soon we're saying, "God I wish the season would hurry up and start already." Some of us welcome the distraction of March Madness to fill the void until that magic date appears.  And then finally, after five long months of waiting, it arrives. The best day of the year; better than your birthday, the 4th of July and Christmas.  Opening Day!  I, for one, cannot wait.
