Pitchers and catchers and position players, oh my!
As Kirby Arnold put it this morning, in an early-bird blog post:
"Good morning from Peoria, Ariz., where the sun is rising into a cloudless sky and most of the action on the first day of the Mariners’ spring training camp will happen indoors.
It’s physical exam day for the pitchers and catches, so while the temperature outside heads toward a forecast high of 83, it figures to be a bit more frigid inside where the poking, prodding and coughing will be going on."
It looks like @kirbyarnold and @LarryLaRue are already in place, @shannondrayer arrives later today; Geoff Baker is already posting videos of himself. Spring has sprung.

Kirby Arnold also had a blog post about the Ms in Peoria before reporting day
It is here; he writes about those rehabbing and those in camp for minor league mini-camp
Always the articles on the camp and never a list of WHO IS IN IT.

I also forgot to mention Greg Johns
who has taken over as the mlb.com reporter, and has a blog site as well
Or the lost Hanson brother.

So basically what you said.

Look at the picture of Michael Saunders
Now imagine him without the beard.
Now look at a picture of Tilda Swinton.
Creepy.
He seems to think so
"I think I’m in better shape and stronger than I ever have been," he said. "I can do the bike every day without resistance and I do pool work every day. Conditioning-wise, I’ve lost 10 pounds and I’m in great shape. I can do leg strengthening things but I can’t do push-off stuff. I can do hamstring curls, quad stuff, interior and exterior stuff, and I’m doing full upper-body workouts."
Erik Bedard has good eyes
“I saw him look as good as anybody when he was back in Baltimore,” Mariners manager Eric Wedge said. “He’s had a lot of trouble with injuries. But he looks great. I look into his eyes and I see good eyes. He looks physically fit.”
He looks good, literally.

I saw that too.
That is somewhat scary for someone with such bad arm problems. Let’s hope that isn’t what he is throwing.
Larry Stone is in Clearwater at Phillies camp
and saw Cliff Lee, Roy Halladay and Roy Oswalt sitting around a table this morning…
That was pretty good stuff.
I’m not sad that he’s gone though.

Am I the only one kind of hoping Brendan Ryan outhits him and steals the SS job?
I have only a little more faith in Wilson than in wilson.

Better than the jacket and tie plane ride
Still kind of strange choice. Why earring, of all things?
Now that I'm thinking about it, yeah. Why earrings?
Why not visible tattoos or sideburns below the earlobe. Or some type of uniformity on the field regarding the length of the pants. Seems completely arbitrary
Holy crackers.
You look down the line in the video and see how tall Fister is, then next to him, how massive Pineda is. Sheesh.
Our team has gotten significantly less sexy this spring
Milton Bradley and Franklin Gutierrez have checked into #Mariners camp. And for those who care, Guti is sporting a mohawk …
Mike Carp has a tattoo of a... carp.. on his arm now. It represents his mother.

She doesn't have a maiden name that is able to be represented more fiercely than a damn carp?

I'm excited to see how this works out for him
It’s always interesting to see if athletes get any tangible benefits from things like this. And his second chin is gone! He looks 5 years younger.
