Couldn't disagree more.

We’re building our team around pitching, which makes blowouts seem unlikely.

I'd expect us to lose 4 straight 2-3 run games

Where we score once early and never again.

Does 8 postseason wins as a franchise record for a starter seem odd to anyone else?

Yes, I know, pitcher wins are meaningless. But it’s a low meaningless stat.

by Chris_FB on Oct 28, 2011 5:36 PM PDT reply actions

I think that's a decent number

Keeping in mind that there weren’t three rounds of playoffs until just a decade ago and you’d have to go deep in the playoffs often to do that over the course of a career

If what happened last night and just now had happened to the Angels, hell, even the A's, I'd be laughing my ass off right now.

But I feel some sense of kinship with fans of a franchise that can’t win that single ring. I went into this thinking I wouldn’t root for either team but ended up siding with Texas for that simple fact. When Buck mentioned “11th ring in 2011” my stomach almost rolled in disgust.

Oh well. Maybe we’ll luck out and the Rangers will make some terrible personnel moving forward decisions as a result.
