PrintWith Ian Stewart's injury....Colorado is interested in Jose Lopez.
What can we do for the Rockies to allow them to take him off our hands. By moving Lopez, it would allow Figgins to move back to 3B and Wilson could play 2B until the Rainiers season finishes up and Ackley gets promoted. Also, Wilson could just play 2B for the remainder of the year (not like it really matters anymore).

I wouldn't call him a slug. I've heard he likes salty snacks.
Also, promoting Ackley probably wouldn’t happen (see the promotion post on the main page), and even getting the smidge of salary relief would be a bonus.

Honestly, I don't really care.
We would have received nothing in return, other than a maximum of $430k in salary relief. We wouldn’t have to watch him everyday, but watching Tui or Woodward everyday wouldn’t be any better, in my opinion.

Lopez wont be here next year anyway so we’d just get rid of him a month early and since Ackley isn’t coming up till Tacoma is done they’d probably just put Tui at 3rd, keep Figgy at 2nd, and we’d get to watch Kotchman or Guti bat 4th…. woo?

I feel so bad for this guy.
He’s been through a lot in his young life, and supposedly he’s the nicest guy on the whole team. It’s a damn shame he can’t hit worth a damn this year.
