Pineda! Alllllllllright. (Jeff's note: on TV!)
I'm sure there's other reasons to watch. I challenge you all to name some without using the letters 'a' or 'e'.

I thought options have to do with being called up to the bigs
Why would Halman have used up any? Or is there another kind of option I don’t know about
It's a common misconception.
Halman has been placed on the 40-man roster to protect him from the Rule 5 Draft (that’s a whole ’nother subthread) and at the beginning of the past two seasons, he has been optioned to double-A and triple-A, burning through two of his option years.
Once a player is optioned, they can be called up or sent down an unlimited number of times without issue, but if the player no longer has option years, they need to pass through waivers in order to go down to the minor leagues and would be removed from the 40-man roster in the process.

and I'm looking at it, and it seems that Halman wouldn't qualify for a fourth option year.

Hey Jay, why hasn't Jharmidy de Jesus played this year? I haven't found any stories about him from 2010.
Injured, I don't know with what specifically.
His conditioning and work ethic have always been for shit. I have no idea why some people were putting him in the top ten after his debut other than we threw a chunk of money at him.

Or perceived velocity, which is different from actual velocity and has to do with release point and angle and such.
I am going to come into your house at night and rec up the place.
I'd shut Pineda down after this start.

Hitting good numbers on velocity, but falling behind against a shitty team and giving up dingers.
Also workload.

I have no clue.
I think they’re gonna give Tui his playing time now. And once Smoak gets back up, the infield might be crowded. I can’t see him getting any consistent playing time, but they might give him a September callup.

I think almost anyone is fair game for Z.
I don’t know how great of a trade chip he’d be, though. He’s never had good offensive stats until this year, and his defense is suspect. His value may never be higher though, and I’m pretty sure we’re in need of some 40-man roster spots, so maybe he goes away.

In HD, Ji-Man Choi triples.
If he’s a catcher, he could be an awesome prospect. Even if he’s not, the bat is supposedly legit, and he’s doing fairly well at A+ at 19.
In other news, I’m pretty sure Kyle Seager is going to be our next Willie Bloomquist. Hitting .347 though, with a 2B and a HR tonight.
Batting .400 for a while there.
