Matsuzaka is hurt, so lester is making his start friday
and Wakefield tonight…I don’t pretend to understand how this makes sense.
Well, the Red Sox's next opponent is the Rays.
Might as well save your good starter for a good team.
Plus good teams usually do not start their best pitcher in the second game of a double header on a wet field.
There are too many things that can go wrong. Felix should have pitched the first game.
This is gonna be televised right?
Or am I going to have to watch Matt Hasselbeck talk about Navajos all afternoon?

Someone's throwing a no-hitter tonight
whether it’s Felix or Wakefield I don’t know.
Down Felix.
Stop with this high everything pitch.
Wow
That was pretty good

It's nice to see Tui blows again.
Although I’ve always wanted to give him playing time, I also hope he sucks because I really don’t want another Mike Morse situation.
He is facing a knuckle ball pitcher and playing left field in Fenway park on a windy rainy night.
What could possibly go wrong? We need lots of Felix ground balls and strike outs.
Groovy
Praise be to the all mighty Felix

That's pretty incredible
I wonder how many times that has happened before

What did the third strike on Beltre look like?
by kennerdoloman on Aug 25, 2010 4:35 PM PDT up reply actions
I mean, was it borderline, or pretty clear?
by kennerdoloman on Aug 25, 2010 4:36 PM PDT up reply actions
Middle of the plate and at the knees.
It was a decent hitter’s pitch actually.
A bit low, center of the plate

Beltre was just mesmerized by a Felix change.
Or he doesn’t want to face Felix again.
JD Drew is a terrible, overrated player.

Olerud did not suck.
"Seems to me if you bought your Sunday beer on Saturday night, this becomes a complete non-issue."
If this website has taught me anything
It’s that John Olerud sucked.

I hope that John Olerud makes the Hall of Fame.
It’ll never happen, but 60+ WAR including two 8+ WAR seasons makes him better than many in the Hall.
You tell 'im, boss!

No, only a runner on first (and third)
Needs runners at 1st and 2nd.
I don't get it.

The emoticon appears to have balls on its face.
As does Butters.
I thought of it as a moustache (on the emoticon).
No wonder I didn’t get it.

Well this: :3
isn’t either one of those. Not that I would have recognized it anyway.
"Seems to me if you bought your Sunday beer on Saturday night, this becomes a complete non-issue."
This would have made more intuitive sense.
Since my intuition is apparently terrible, I thank you for your parenthesis on this post.
I see Jose Lopez is the hero!

I wonder if field conditions have anything to do with this.
I only have access to the radio broadcast.

Didn't look like there were bad hops on either play.
Wet and slippery ball may have been a problem for him though.

I'm totally kidding. I just wanted an excuse to use the word literacy because it is neat.
I wish my team was as cool as the Rays.

Trade him for the Seahawks Josh Wilson.

I was referring to his single, but okay.

I went there as well.
As such, I’ve sort of had to root for him throughout his minor league career. But now that I’ve seen the whole package, I’ve become less enthusiastic.

Hit now Josh.
"Seems to me if you bought your Sunday beer on Saturday night, this becomes a complete non-issue."
I predict he will try way too hard to make up for his suckiness, and K gloriously.
I am going to come into your house at night and rec up the place.
Gonna break the team record soon

I finally get to watch a Mariners game on tv for the first time in ages and thank god its a Felix day, that alone will make up for Figgins failing at hitting.

“Breslow was captain of the Yale University baseball team.11 As a junior, he led Yale in victories (three) and ERA (2.61, 3rd in the Ivy League), striking out 66 batters in 51⅔ innings (ranking 13th in the nation in strikeouts per nine innings). He earned All-Ivy honors that season, which included a 16-strikeout performance vs. Cornell and a one-hit shutout at Harvard. Yeah.. Gameday showed five pitches well within the strike zone
For those watching the game, is it really that bad?

Hey, someone has to be a Sabres fan around here. Might as well be me.
Also, I have some ties to the Buffalo area from when I was a little kid. So right back atcha.
Just think..
If Brandon League gave up a double there, he would’ve had a chance to tie Felix in the wins category!
Aren’t counting stats great?
Well, League has a record of 8-6 while Felix is 9-10
so even though Felix’s ERA is a bit better, League has been the better pitcher this year.
You'd have to be a fool to deny that!
Good pitchers WIN!
If we don't get this win, I'm going to be mighty upset

Left fielder pulls an Eric Byrnes on a ball in shallow left, throws the ball to short, tosses it to the third baseman, runner's safe, then makes a ridiculous throwing error that puts the ball all the way to the wall, and everyone comes around and scores.
