Erik Bedard's First Start Scratched
Erik Bedard was to start tomorrow against the Royals opposite Zack Greinke. Instead, due to a sore shoulder, his start has been postponed. No word yet on when he will start. I imagine that will depend on how quickly his shoulder responds. If it takes more than a day or two, I would not be shocked to see him make another rehab start in Tacoma before forcing a roster move in Seattle.
Also no word yet on what the eventual roster move will be. I foresee Cliff Lee being a considering.

Hmm, this isn't a ggod sign for my thought...
Bedard comes back and throws a couple of decent starts and the is packaged into the Lee trade.
If he’s still getting pushed back, this is even less likely that it already was. Which was almost none.
I have no idea why you would want this to happen.
Bedard’s potential value as a player far exceeds his current trade value. Packaging him into a trade right now MIGHT get you an extra C-level prospect.
Interestingly, I don't think this would be true.
I have a feeling if you packaged a potential yet unlikely ace with a proven ace, you could do pretty well. But yeah, it’s not going to happen now or ever, so it’s irrelevant.

Discussing this further gets dangerously close to rosterbation, so I'll be brief.
You’re wishcasting. Bedard needs to show he’s healthy before he recovers any trade value whatsoever. Plus teams can just wait and sign him as a free agent if they think he can make a comeback, since I don’t see the Mariners picking up his $8m option.
I also think Jack holds on to him because his minimal trade value
is greatly outweighed by the chance that he does really well and adds a few wins to the Mariners.

If a thread goes up about this I'll discuss it further
but for now that will be taking this post off topic.

I had no idea Bedard was going to start tomorrow
It would’ve been a nice surprise. Too bad this setback isn’t.

The first person to call Erik Bedard a woman or any part of a woman will be treated to a warm helping of snow shovel.

Erik Bedard is the man your man can smell like.
…they should send down Huntington & Nutting, because they aren’t ready, either. - royshowell

Look at your man, now back to Bedard, where are you? You're on a beach with the man your man could smell like
back to your man-back at Bedard, what’s next to his head, it’s a beachball, look again-the beachball is now his shoulder. Anything is possible when you rub chemicals in there-he’s on a gurney.

There was a poll on fangraphs
On when Bedard injures himself: First start, first week, or first month.
Needless to say the results were more optimistic than first warmup bullpen session.
I have a ticket to tomorrow's game
And was looking forward to seeing Erik. I watched him in Tacoma last Thursday.
His starts are becoming a considerable itch.
Must be an infection.

Hahahahaha
You had to know that this was going to happen. Bedard’s shoulder is cursed.

Scappy's been nibbling on his labrum again, huh?
I would not be shocked to see him retire.

Bedard is basically on schedule according to the initial assessment last year!
