that is an awesome graphic
yea, the Cell can get a bit homer happy on warm summer nights. I don’t blame you guys for hating it though, it’s hard to top Safeco, got my first game there on king felix night last month, just beautiful.
but i regress, good luck the rest of the way after the game tmr.
I don't actually hate it
it’s just fairly extreme.

…they should send down Huntington & Nutting, because they aren’t ready, either. - royshowell
What do you think about Forbes.com listed Randy Winn as one of the biggest trade deadline busts of all time?
The M’s got Yorbit Torrealba and Jesse Foppert in the deal. They didn’t do anything for the M’s. Randy Winn went to SF and hit 359/391/680 for a 1.071 OPS that year. How is he one of the biggest trade deadline busts? Forbes’ reason that Winn was a huge bust for the Giants is that he never drove in more than 65 runs a year as a corner OF, and the Giants never finished higher than the 3rd in NL West while Winn was there. But Randy Winn played great defense for the Giants. The Giants gave him a 24M/3 year contract after the 2005 season. Maybe his subsequent years didn’t live up to that contract, but he was awesome for them after the trade in 2003. I don’t know why Forbes.com listed Randy Winn was one of the biggest trade deadline busts in baseball.
This is 100% related to the baseball game the Mariners just played

Apologies if this has already been brought up...
but did anyone else see that the Giants called on Aardsma and we countered with DA and Jose Lopez for Kung Fu Panda… needless to say we were rejected.

For some reason I want Eric Byrnes back.
He was pretty cool. I liked his hair. I wonder how his softball league is doing. I wonder if I can watch that on mlbtv instead of the mariners…
My god are all these off topic posts done on purpose now?

Awww shucks
Someone already called me on it. Sorry about that…
And after reading Jeff's last two posts,
I’m becoming painfully aware that my thought there has little to do with the game. Other than I bet Byrnes’ softball fences are further out then the ones at Comiskey Park… or whatever they call it these days.
I actually thought we were gonna win at one point in this game.
How stupid of me.

Yeah just watched the highlight on mlb.com, did the team ignore Figgins when he went back to the dugout? [obviously in a rookie hazing style not maliciously!]

I love how Chone awkwardly grabs Branyan's lower back/ass on his way back to the dugout.
Just like Napgate, I feel like we’ll never get the whole story on the beef that went down and is still ongoing apparently. It’s hard to really give a shit though.

Can someone please explain the graphic of U.S. Cellular.
Is that the number of homers hit this year? The percentage above average of number of homeruns hit there? Sorry I need the explanation but the way it is charted it seams like CF plays average, the gaps play slightly below, and down the lines yields a healthy ten percent below average homeruns. As I said sorry for the need for an explanation but I would greatly appreciate it.
Yay, Mariners!
