How would any of us have any idea?
Something. It means something.

Assuming Wak benched Figgins for the bad play at second
I think benching Figgins mid-game was the kind of snap decision Wak may come to regret. Given all the crappy plays M’s players have made recently, it just smacks of singling a guy out. First of all…he needs to hear Figgins’ side of the story. Then, if what he hears isn’t satisfactory, he may choose to give him a day off.
Chone may not like it but at least nobody ends up with Russell Branyan’s foot up their ass. Or, more importanly, with a lot of embarrassing questions from the media. I really think this doesn’t reflect well on the manager. But what Z thinks of it…who knows?
Really?
I thought Jack Z would be overjoyed. I mean, rubbing his hands going “WHOO HOO! I’ve got a bunch of people we’ve invested a lot of money in that are 23 games under .500, hitting like they should be on the roster in Tacoma, showed the collective IQ slightly lower than a baseball this week, and now they are getting into fights! Man, it don’t git no better ’n this!”
Perhaps he did not see the ball.
This excuse would also help to justify his average plate appearance this season.
There was a difference in what Figgins did (or didn't do)...
Figgins didn’t “hustle” after the ball, he just let it go by without attempting to retrieve it. Just stood there and watched. The baserunning mistakes were brain farts, but weren’t lazy, they just were not attentive. I think that’s the difference in Wak’s eyes. I love that Figgins got benched but wish Wak would’ve at least done the same to Lopez because his “error” was more egregious.
You know, I really do think Milton Bradley's counseling sessions are working like a charm!

Now on pace for about 536 runs.
Which is kinda low.

Is this like the time when Adrian Beltre picked Ryan Franklin up by the throat, slammed him against the wall, and threatened to kill him?
Because that was awesome.
You're dead to me.
