Yeah, but...
No matter what the numbers show, look who was coming to the rubber and the plate. We didn’t have a chance here. Wait, we didn’t have a better chance after the 2nd,, this chart is messed up.

Any sentence that begins with "no matter what the numbers show",
and then ends with a declarative statement, is flawed and deserves being ignored.
No matter what the numbers show...
Matthew is always good for a random jump off the top row onto an unsuspecting erroneous statement (and its author).
I can't resist clicking "Rec" when I see a post with four [of them] already.

Dave Cameron's remarks on and analysis of Michael Saunders
and his swing made so much sense that I’m less hopeful about his possibilities than I was before. And watching Saunders is one of the main reasons to watch the Mariners the 2nd half. But he needs some work.

Odd thing is that Saunders new swing exacerbates the coverage problems of his old swing.
When they said they were reworking his swing, I assumed it was about adding plate coverage, but it appears to have been all about the power. Success in that department, at least.
All that matters is the dingers.
…they should send down Huntington & Nutting, because they aren’t ready, either. - royshowell
