Via Rotoworld, Kanekoa claimed by Royals
Well that kinda sucks. Would of been nice to see him stick around, but there was no way he was going to.

Haven't the Royals figured out yet
that they’re only supposed to take the SHITTY Mariners? They’re not doing this right. I mean, Kanekoa wasn’t going to win Cy Youngs or anything, but he was serviceable.
So now like 20% of their team is former mariners? Wow.
He’s the only one I will miss.

This is the time to strike.
Attention Royals: We have so many future former Mariners available for your choosing. You don’t want Kila or Alex. They can’t be future former Mariners until you give them to us for a while. Think about that.

Recently, after years of uneasy peace, tensions began to escalate over a long standing border dispute...
On June 3rd, the Royals claimed RHP Kanekoa Texeira from the Seattle Mariners.

Perhaps just an extra "thank you" for taking Yuni off our hands.

I'm sorry to see he's gone for good,
but the fact that it’s the Royals of all teams makes it hilarious.
I want him back

Can someone help me understand?
I thought Texeira was a Rule 5 draft pick and had to be offered back to the Yankees for cash if taken off of the 25-man roster. Does this mean the Yankees didn’t want him back, so standard waiver rules apply? Further, if the the Royals decide to cut him, does that mean they have to offer him back to the Yankees for cash? Am I just a complete ass for not getting this?
I feel like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football. Ugh
I think he has to go through waivers before the team can start negotiating.
