We haven't played the Yankees in a while so this could be a funny mismatch. Then again, the last time we faced the number one ranked team by RAA it was the Twins and we took three of four. With Cliff Lee and Felix Hernandez, anything is possible.
Other than that, what's to say? The team lost a series to the Brewers which featured a lot of mediocre pitching and one brief respite from mind numbingly non-existent offense. I guess congratulations are in order for not trading Cliff Lee (yet) and something in between congratulations and a tarring and feathering for bringing back Russell Branyan.
Tue Jun 29, 16:05: Cliff Lee* vs. Phil Hughes
Wed Jun 30, 16:05: Felix Hernandez vs. Javier Vazquez
Thu Jul 01, 10:05: Ryan Rowland-Smith* vs. CC Sabathia*
Boy are the Yankee pitchers good at avoiding walks. Vazquez has been, surprise, a disappointment for the Yankees this season, but Sabathia has been good and Hughes even better. These first two matches have potential to be fun and then the series is concluded with a nice 10am game for all of us to just sleep through. If Hyphen does not get ahead of hitters early, he's going to end up with a very short day.
On the plus side, Thursday is Canada Day!
On one hand, I look forward to seeing Cliff Lee shut down the Yankees because you may be super rich and have all those banners New York, but you know what you don't have? Cliff Lee. Yet, at least. On the other hand, the Yankees have good hitters and I don't want to see Cliff Lee walk anybody.
Man we are so boned.

Ever see one of those rare player moves where they switch dugouts right in the middle of a series?
Good times. (nightmare scenario)
Trading Lee to New York is the best possible scenario in my opinion.
Though I hope he dominates them like Bill Cosby did to that midget.
...and now I'm here
I think I'm boycotting the game on Thursday.
Tonight and Tomorrow will be fun to watch though.

So Vazquez has been bad
Teixeira hasn’t really produced, Nick Johnson, Granderson, and Posada missing/missed a lot of time with injuries, and they’ve still got the best record in baseball.
Those guys are dicks.
Even A-Rod's been "underperforming"
which means he’s still hitting better than anything we got, but whatever…
I thought it was 3 out of 4 against the Twins.
That last pitching matchup is hilarious.
