PrintIn his celebrated 2006 season, Carlos Silva issued seven unintentional walks and also hit three batters for ten net walks allowed of 749 batters faced. That's 1.34% of hitters.
Another walkless performance from Cliff Lee last night puts him at four unintentional walks and zero hit batters of 305 batters faced. That's 1.31% of hitters.
Cliff Lee also strikes hitters out, works fast, smiles and isn't Carlos Silva. He also isn't going to be a Mariner for as long as Silva was.

No, we've been a Carlos Silva team. Now we are a Cliff Fucking Lee team.
He’s only here for a short while longer, but we had him. GMZ got him for us. I will die when he leaves, but we are now the kind of team who can get Cliff Fucking Lee. GMZ will get someone shiny and good for us again. GMZ will never give us another Carlos Silva. We aren’t that team anymore.
