Thank Jeebus For Standards
This is why I'm so happy Lookout Landing has standards for grammar and chatspeak. I can hardly understand what this guy is typing.
*Sorry for it not being baseball related. Just wanted to say thanks to Jeff and Matthew for not letting LL get like this.

Actually we do have standards.
They include not deleting a FanPost from a guy just trying to solicit an opinion. It’s not like this is front-page material.
I think it is perfectly fine for the blog to allow this.
that said, I have a feeling if LL allowed this it would be harder to manage. According to what I’ve found (and don’t quote me on this, because I’m not sure how accurate it is), the Seattle Mariner blogosphere is at minimum 4 times the size of much of the rest of the country, (with a few exceptions) and I have a feeling we’d have something like 15 of those a day if we let them slide. There was a time back in 2007/2008 where FanPosts (then Diaries) were allowed to look like that, and if I recall there were something like 5 a day. Since then the number of visitors has grown dramatically, and it would easily get out of control.
Also, we have off topic posts where users can solicit opinions, so creating a FanPost here is largely unnecessary. I think it really depends on the current culture of the blog it is posted on, as well as the state of the rest of the city’s/team’s Internet presence.
...and now I'm here
That's not really a "standard".
That’s a philosophy.
I didn't mean this as a slam against the blog.
Now that I re-read it, it appears that way. Apologies. While I could understand the point the author was trying to deliver, the lack of grammar makes it near unreadable, and that made me think of the high standards to which Jeff and Matthew hold us commentors.
Because we’re rebels. Accurate, intelligent, introspective rebels. And damn proud of it my friend. - CapSea
