I like drafts a lot.
And Anthony Rendon sounds really intriguing because of how often I hear his name.
Aside from that, I always try to look for the good inside of the bad when it comes to the Mariners. And I figure if we’re going to lose, we’re going to get a high pick and those are always more interesting than picking 41st. And if we sign any type A free agents this off-season we won’t have to give up the pick, which is always nice.

If you aren't going to contend for a playoff spot, I'm all for getting talent
And from what I’ve read, the upcoming draft class has more elite players that would justify a higher draft pick, as opposed to 2010’s draft.
Winning games really isn’t a big deal to me right now. I’m watching Saunders, waiting for Moore, and hoping we get a good haul for Lee.

At what point does the starting point begin at less than a 50% chance of a win? I mean, RRS was starting the game, surely you cannot assume a 50% chance of winning if it were almost anyone other than Suppan starting against him?
Never.
It’s always 50/50 to begin the game, no matter who the teams are and who is starting.

Doesn't position by half inning affect the percentage at times?
9th inning, extras, tie game type situation? Not precisely what he’s asking, but it sparked a separate yet slightly related question

My understanding of WPA
Is that if both teams have an equal number of outs left with a tie score, it’s always going to be 50/50.
That’s why you see the graphs regress to that point every inning (and bounce toward the home team at the bottom of every inning, when they have 3 more outs left) until the score becomes uneven.

It's great to see this "officially" registered.
I checked in on the game, saw MB hit a HR then RRS sort of fall apart, went off to have dinner and just assumed another loss. And who cares? There’s nothing interesting in seeing most of the ABs at this point.
I either feel sorry for some of the players or just cold. Increasingly cold.

At this point I am going to the games to enjoy the atmosphere and having a drink or two in the beer gardens.

If I read correctly...
Kanekoa Texiera (sp?) got the win for the Royals in relief after Yuni hit a three run double in a 7 run inning. For the Royals. ((Though, it was against the Astros, thats a lot for the Royals)).
I laughed. Sadly.
