Guti's contribution, for example, was +11% at the plate, but his mistake on Gwynn's liner was -7%

My assumption, by the way

was that, played better, Gwynn would’ve had an RBI single. So I charged Guti for the next three bases.

I didn't see the play so I'm assuming he should have taken it on the bounce and didn't.

Kinda fucked up Felix’s stats more than anything.

Of course it should be. The DH is a travesty.

That said, it’s about proper expectations — Felix shouldn’t be asked to hit, as an AL pitcher. This is why interleague play is an abomination.

I don't feel the losses like a punch in the gut anymore

but the wins don’t feel as good either. This game had everything that I love about the M’s – Felix kicking ass, Bradley homer, a four pitch walk to LIttle Wilson… ah the balmy Tropics.

I did get a big smile on my face after looking up Ackley’s month by month splits though. .923 in May, .842 so far in June.
