I've been feeling a little bit down lately due to the abysmal play of the Seattle Mariners. To perk myself up a bit, I decided to write a post about someone who has become one of my favorite baseball players, Cliff Lee.

During the offseason our wonderful front office went out and traded a bunch of mid-level prospects and brought back the best pitcher in baseball. At the time I was like, "hey, Cliff Lee is pretty cool." Anyone who follows the Mariners knows that this is a gross understatement. I won't bombard you with the numbers, especially since I can't do it nearly as well as Matthew did here. I will say this, Cliff Lee walks a little bit more than half a batter per nine inning and has struck out more than 14 batters per walk issued. So there. We may suck but at least we still have Cliff Lee. Anyway, the reason I made this post was to give the LL community the opportunity to talk about Lee while he is still ours. We love you, Cliff!
