I look at Mr. Lee and see a man who enjoys what he's doing as much as we enjoy watching him do it.
So, extension or no, I voted love.

I like Cliff Lee a lot, but he's a mercenary and there's no sense in my getting attached to him.
If he is instrumental in a deep playoff run, I will love him like I still love that girl at summer camp when I was 14.
Sound about right.
I’ve never seen him pitch in a Mariners uniform, so I couldn’t bring myself to vote “love.” But he’s awesome and is a Mariner, so I like him just fine.

I'm gonna change my vote
I voted “like” because I’ve been burned far too many times before, but watching him pitch for my team like he did on Friday (I felt things I haven’t felt in a long time) and seeing this makes me think this time will really be different… Could he really be “the one”?
While it's true he doesn't dick around

I love me some Cliff Lee.
The gif that Manzanillos Cup has is one of many reasons why I do. His agent also retracted the stance that Buster Olney reported when he talked with Kevin Calabro and Jim Moore on 710 that Cliff was not going to sign an extension. So you’re saying there’s a chance, Mr. Braunecker?

I love what he represents
Which is awesomeness, both in how he was acquired (awesomeness from the front office) and in how he performs on the field (awesomeness from Phifer himself).

Seeing the huge shit eating grin on his face when he’s throwing is awesome. I understand not getting attached to him (as a Mariner), but I loved him for what he did to the Yankees in the post season last year, and that love didn’t decrease when he put on the blue and teal.
I want to love, but I am so afraid...
I think when people are being funny, they are actually being serious and when people are being serious, it's actually really funny.
But I love Cliff Lee.

I know the odds are he won't sign with us as a FA, but...
That doesn’t stop me from loving him. He’s crazy good, and he’s all ours for the year.
I suppose we’ll offer him arbitration, right? So love the draft picks, too.

Because he’s an absurdly good pitcher. Voting “love” would be like saying I love Zack Greinke or Johan Santana. Lee’s going to be a Mariner for, at most, the next three months, so I can’t really see him as a part of “my” team.
