Wow.

I just logged on to check the score. We were down, 4-3.
I opened a new FanPost, read it, returned to the mainpage and suddenly we’re ahead.
Yippee.

Wait!

We are not quite done in this inning. DA wouldn’t mind a two-run cushion, I don’t think.

Doesn't Phil Coke suck as well?

All I remember are my Yankees associates complaining about him.

TIME FOR ICHI-REDEMPTION

Is that the light at the end of the tunnel, or the headlights of an oncoming train?

by Benne on May 26, 2010 3:16 PM PDT reply actions

This would be a swell time for Ichiro to not suck

and give us a small cushion facing the top of Tiger’s lineup

Time for a Griffey Pinch Hit...

Because that won’t screw anything up…

Damn it, Ichiro.

All the M's runs have scored with me in bed today.

You all should thank me for not going to the game, as my bed is not portable like that.

You know how Putz had Thunderstruck as his intro music?

Too much to ask that Aardsma gets the theme from Night Court as his?

You can't be a catcher if you can't catch. Rob Johnson will henceforth be listed as a traffic cone on the roster.

by Drew_D on May 26, 2010 3:21 PM PDT reply actions

I thought about that

But the Night Court theme is so damn catchy.

You can't be a catcher if you can't catch. Rob Johnson will henceforth be listed as a traffic cone on the roster.

I'd take The People's Court, too.

If only someone would have a kickass rockin’ remix of that.

Day off, then Cliff Lee goes on Fri

Meanwhile TEX gets MIN. Let’s go streaking, M’s!

by SankTheTank on May 26, 2010 3:32 PM PDT reply actions

I hope Felix starts on Saturday

It’d be 6 days between starts for him, and then Fister on Sunday and Vargas on Monday on full rest, so push back that scrub Snell until June 1.

by Baconburger on May 26, 2010 3:35 PM PDT up reply actions

M's site says Snell Saturday, Felix Sunday

I don’t understand it, either.

Try not to take me too seriously

by calim on May 26, 2010 3:37 PM PDT up reply actions

Agreed

We aren’t getting production out of the Snell/RRS spot. We have four (maybe 3.5) starters giving us GREAT innings. This seems like a slam dunk. Which is why Wak won’t do it.

by SankTheTank on May 26, 2010 3:46 PM PDT up reply actions

Gotta give him some credit the last couple days

Solid lineups, solid in-game moves… Still has a ways to go, but recently it has been ok.

by seattlesundevil on May 26, 2010 3:47 PM PDT up reply actions

Yeah

The lineups the last couple days have been better. He seems to realize that Kelley/League are the two go-to relievers (although we should thank Z for taking away White and Jesus for sucking non-stop for that). If he can stick with the “good” lineup and stop people from bunting non-stop, his damage will be limited.

TUI IS NOT A GOOD ATHLETE

Do you want to hear about my fantasy team?

by Cantu Easley Winn on May 26, 2010 3:38 PM PDT reply actions

Tui is not a good Major League Baseball player.

But I have no doubt that he is a far superior athlete than 99% of the population.

by harkening on May 26, 2010 3:39 PM PDT up reply actions

Skill at baseball is not the sole measure of athleticism.

Just because he doesn’t perform well on the field doesn’t mean he’s a bad athlete. His athleticism might have served him playing football or basketball (both of which he played, and he was recruited for football by multiple D1 schools, even signed an LOI to UW). He was a high school All-American. He’s an athlete.

Put another way: Prince Fielder is a really good baseball player. Great strength, hand eye coordination, tremendous bat. He is also nearing 300 pounds and under six feet tall.

by harkening on May 26, 2010 3:45 PM PDT up reply actions

That is a good point.

I was wrong in saying he is a bad athlete. He still sucks though :(

Do you want to hear about my fantasy team?

by Cantu Easley Winn on May 26, 2010 3:58 PM PDT up reply actions

He's not, but he makes a wicked shaving cream pie. Jr. taught him.

He tried to teach him to deliver it too, but he’s not the best athlete.

by TrustBaseball on May 26, 2010 3:39 PM PDT up reply actions

I'm pretty sure that 80% of Lookout Landing's population could kick his boney ass.
