When was the last home run hit by this team?

Dear everyone that wanted Jeff to change the site logo,
Do you get it now?

Not to be a total newb, but I'm not sure I know the story of the logo.
I know it’s Sexson crying the dugout, but is there more story to it?
What exactly happened on that play?
Gameday said the ball was hit to Guti.
Bradley either lost track of the ball or thought Guti had a bead on it
so he pulled up and stopped pursuing a soft fly that dropped several feet in front of him.

I'm almost positive it dropped behind him

Yeah, I went back and watched it after the game (Fuck you, MLB TV)
It landed probably 15 feet behind him and to his left. From his body language, he never saw it.

Behind, to the side, in front, whatever, I don't remember
It dropped close to him.

It was hit between them. Guti was shaded towards right.
Bradley took a horrible angle, and then decided against trying at all once he realized his mistake (that was my take, at least)
Sigs are lame.

Bradley certainly could have caught it, though.

At the game, my thought was that he lost it.
The sky at that point was sort of a Metrodome style muddy white or whitish gray or whatever you want to call it, I wouldn’t be too surprised if Bradley flat never saw it. It certainly looked bad though.

That was my perspective at the game too.
It never looked like he actually saw where the ball went. He didn’t even look behind him when the ball dropped.

Lost in the sky
I was also at the game and think he just lost it in the grey skies above. It looked absolutely horrible though and my initial thought was that he gave up on it until I saw his reaction…he had no clue where it was.

Fuck Wakamatsu and his belief system
this team is so frustrating to watch right now. Maybe I’ll watch a game sometime in June to save myself the cost of a new t.v. after I put my shoe through it.
Thought I saw him grip it once in the middle innings
but didn’t think anything of it then. Makes sense. Still, amazing that complexion of entire game changed based on that Kotchman grounder, and then Milton Bradley brainfart.
Judging by last year's trade,
KC might part with both for our worst player.
Fans probably wouldn’t like us dealing Griffey, though.
Yeah. Junior's not going anywhere.
He might get demoted, which I’m assuming he will, but he’s not going anywhere.
Fuck this team
Rendon!
ROB JOHNSON IS THE WORST PERSON EVER

When Silva was our best pitcher. He’s not magically better.

Watching the DBacks knock him around slightly made up for today.
Until I remembered the rule about shutting off Arizona games when they get to the 7th.
You're dead to me.
I'm incredibly frustrated, but I'm in no way ready to throw in the towel.
It’s just two games, and it’s two games that may spur some changes in the Griffey/Sweeney DH situation.
I seriously think the only way it gets better is an injury.
Everything is Rob Johnson's fault.

I’m gonna go eat a Double Down

This has been an up and down season for sure
But the worrisome part is that its been up and down with a winnable schedule. I’m worried about what happens when we start to play the rest of the AL East.
by Kenny Knows Sports on May 1, 2010 4:43 PM PDT reply actions
Ask and ye shall receive.
8 out of the Mariners’ next 17 games will take place against the AL East including:
2 against Toronto
3 against Baltimore
6 against Tampa Bay
If Brad Pitt is playing Beane who do you want playing you?
JD: Eddie Guardado.
He also suggests trading Dustin Ackley for Prince Fielder.
I’m not sure you can do that, but…
He doesn't seem to get that Ryan Howard set the market in a bad way.
The $125 million for Howard means much, much bigger bucks for Prince Fielder. So trade away your top prospect and then some for a first baseman that’s a free agent after next year unless you extend him for Teixeira type money? Because despite his wildest dreams Carlos Triunfel and 2 non-Ace pitchers are not going to get it done.
I imagine Milwuakee is going to think the way that Jack Z thinks and that means we aren’t going to get any special deal. Which means we are definitely going to hurt the farm by trading for Fielder. I’m all for a move to get Fielder, but not at an Erik Bedard package type deal + every free agent dollar we’ve got left. It’s even harder when you consider that Casey Kotchman isn’t a big problem for us right now and doesn’t solve the LF/DH problem.
There are better options out there.

Yeah I think the idea is not necessarily a good one
I just find it amusing that even he realizes that Griffey/Sweeney aren’t going to cut it
Determined, Jonesing Commentor
Anemic offense and a Felix off-night with back pains...
Bases loaded, <2 outs three times over 5 innings (from 10th last night to 2nd today) with 0 runs to show for it = alcohol poisoning on a Saturday afternoon. I should bill Safeco for my ER visit (they are an insurance company after all…)
I’m starting to believe that Sweeny has nude pictures of Wak’s daughter and is threatening to release them if they release him or demote him…
Griffey/Sweeney are indeed terrible
but they wouldn’t be so much a problem if Figgens, Bradley, and Lopez were hitting something close to their career averages.
Well, Lopez’s numbers are not so far away and as such he should be batting nowhere near the cleanup spot, so that’s on Wak at least. (Not to mention batting Griffey so high).
