This should be the Harlem Globepuckers.
...and now I'm here
So now I finally know what it's like to have my thread nuked by a .gif
stupid hotel internet and crappy work computer
I just came a little...
and took the over. Nice lineup.
by LonelyintheBleachers on Apr 6, 2010 5:51 PM PDT reply actions
That is an awesome lineup
No Griffey and no Sweeney, nice.
Why were people getting upset Sweeney over Garko again?
We should just be pissed we don’t have a extra actual baseball player on the bench.
This is a pretty good lineup. Everyone roughly average at least. That's not weak.
...and now I'm here
If we project everyone to about average (and I haven't run the splits on any of 'em)...
and we know that at a bear minimum we have 27 plate appearances, then .327 (league average wOBA) x 27 plate appearances = 8.83 runs. Woo run support!
I forgot the 1.15 league average multiplier.
So sad. So what you’re saying is…our offense isn’t that good? Damn.
I'm comfortable with that
Here’s to Snell having the season of a lifetime

It still blows my mind that the players I hate the most always end up being mariners in the end
Figgins
Byrnes
Kotchman
Lee (pure jealousy, I admit it)
Weaver
Everett (goddamn it)
I dunno, just one of those weird things
You know those players that seem to get a hit every single time you see them bat? against the mariners?
Albert Pujols slept with your mother and called you a bad name.
Then he stopped returning her calls.

Stopped returning her calls?!
Future stepdad come back! I love you!
Shit I think im doing it wrong
Finally getting to post
After 24 hours of waiting to do so after creating an account. These west coast games are killing my sleep schedule
Seriously for once.
I just worded that horribly.

It's okay, I assumed you were just looking for a reaction.
You are the master of baiting.

I'm nothing if not subtle.
...and now I'm here
We have to go one more night without pleasure?!?
This lineup sucks!
by LonelyintheBleachers on Apr 6, 2010 6:22 PM PDT up reply actions
If he does anything...
I’ll just give him the bradley stare down like last night in the outfield
I have a bat ready to break over his face.

Although I would welcome the opportunity to sue for large amounts of money
Determined, Jonesing Commentor
No such luck.
I’m broke after spending $120 for mlb.tv to watch west coast games.
I'd settle for your MLB.tv subscription so I can watch west coast games
Determined, Jonesing Commentor
I'm a college student.
Therefore, $120 = $1 million according to my math
$120 is enough for me to drive to Kansas City, get a burger at Steak 'n Shake, and drive home
That’s worth getting beat in the head with a bat
Determined, Jonesing Commentor
I saved up a lot of money
And then blew it all on baseball. Its worth it.
What the hell can you possibly spend $2k a month on in college?
I barely spend $2k a month now and over 50% of that is rent
I'll give you $21 to hit Corco over the head with a baseball bat.
...and now I'm here
That is if you can find him
He hasn’t been around these parts in awhile.

That twat is fucking baller.
...and now I'm here
I also buy a bagel every day
That ends up costing me a lot each month.
Einstein Bros
Every single day. Dude at the counter has my order memorized.
I have not.
And considering I’m Jewish it makes me sad I haven’t heard of this place.
...and now I'm here
Its amazing.
I’m Jewish as well. Thats not why i go there.

Ah. Have not been to bagel joints in California.
In New York though I did it every day twice a day
...and now I'm here
There are in fact TWO in Washington.
One at Seattle Pacific University (oh, the Christians!) and one at Ft. Lewish (oh, the military!).
I'm not a mod, but I'm pretty sure that's hinging really close to political/religion.
Not to mention I know several military members who aren’t Christian, and I’m Christian and not in the military. So, uh, go figure.
You West Coast people
Are deprived of the good things in life. Driving so many miles of an Einstein Bros bagel….
We'd share the account
But I’m worried you would steal my credit card information.
It worked last season
I shared with somebody in Seattle and never got a blackout error

Welcome to LookoutLanding.
...and now I'm here
After a game thread or two,
it will no longer be interesting. It will be explained by experience.
This is the most interesting baseball blog
I think I have ever read.
Have you read through the game threads from yesterday?
Welcome to LL by the way and way to jump right in.

Oh, no, the blog is fantastic!
The lack of girls is, uh…well, let’s just say there’s a reason for it.
Hello. Welcome to Lookout Landing.
Have you read this site at all? There are reasons for it.

And I am a tard.
Thought you said there’s no reason for it.
My bad.

Yeah I figured that out
But I think its hilarious.
Mike Sweeney
Was the difference between Milton Bradley breaking his bat after striking out last night and Bradley going apeshit and killing all the first born in the stands
Stats are not a euphemism for tits
sweet!
I bought it yesterday and was having problems with it, too, and that seemed to fix everything. But I came very close to cancelling it and causing a “scene” with the customer service department. That would show MLB. …right..?
You and the other eight hundred people that do it every year.
I’m sure they’re just about to change for the better because of it.

Are you sure you have never posted here?
You are following all the rules and fitting right in.
by seattle_since_81 on Apr 6, 2010 6:43 PM PDT up reply actions
Some people actually read the blog before joining
and the rules have been posted a fair few times lately.
Yeah, I know, I did that and it's not that hard to do
but it’s amazing to me how many don’t.
by seattle_since_81 on Apr 6, 2010 6:46 PM PDT up reply actions
Some of us read the blog before joining
and still manage to screw up on the rules.
by magistermilitum on Apr 6, 2010 6:49 PM PDT up reply actions
The reason I joined
Is because this blog basically narrates my every day thoughts.
My soul
oh god my soul
its all purple now

I kind of hope that Lopez doesn't complete the Lopez challenge tonight since I can't drink anyway
and this will make it seem more impressive when he does homer

I hate when you have hat hair and you can't find your Seattle Mariners hat and you have to run to the store to buy dinner
Determined, Jonesing Commentor
I'd have to think this is pretty much the best lineup we can run out there.
Love that there’s no Griffey.
Yes, of course!
Won’t somebody think of the children!?
My old lady left the house for two hours
and I cursed Wak and Griffey!
by LonelyintheBleachers on Apr 6, 2010 6:41 PM PDT up reply actions
Actually, "jerking it" is another term for masturbation
so I certainly hope you aren’t thinking of the children
As of this moment, I hate you.
Because, yes, that was the joke, and you just turned back on me—and worse, I laughed at it. Fuck you, seattlebruin.
We will be overrun with kittens.

I hate that we were pretty good last year and Griffey made the team and played a decent amount
even though the two were not really related. All my Griffey-slobbing friends rubbed it in my face.
I'm actually not that upset about it
sure, he was replacement-level, but as we’ve learned from the Yuniesky Betancourts, Jose Guillens and Jose Vidros of the world, it’s possible to be much, much worse
I just wish we could have a DH that is above replacement level.
How long has it been since that was the case?
That amazes me
I remember liking that we signed him initially because of his .300 average. I was a dumbass then.
You didn't sign him.
You actually traded for him! A few people might remember that around here.
angels fan in seattle
I was drunk pretty much the entire year of 2007
so I’m not surprised I don’t remember all that clearly.
Thought the exact same thing
Hopefully the boys bring the bats tonight and Snell returns to form of old!

Mark Teixiera: A rant
Has not gotten a hit tonight. He will halt my Beat the Streak at three games. There goes my winning $3 million dollars. Another Yankee ruins lives.
Hopefully the winner is going Teixiera the wealth.

Too bad i already bought that ferrari.
$8,333,333,333.
E-Lizz, when this happens, you should buy the Mariners. Then we can see how good these sabernerds are at actually running a franchise!
To be honest
I just needed a reason to say something bad about the yankees.

Elysian IPA here
This is opening day for me, since I was on a plane for the real opening day.
Feels good to be posting on the internet about baseball again.
Ian Snell is sporting the shavehawk

mlb.com points out that with yesterdays game, Ichiro has officially been here 10 years, making him eligible for the Hall of Fame.
FUCK ERIC BYRNES FUCK ERIC BYRNES!
Tonight is the battle of the foot
Ian Snell has a lead foot he keeps putting in the wrong place, Dallas Braden has no feeling in his lead foot at all.
