Really like the guy.
But he’s not going to play enough for me to feel that strongly about him either way. Still voted “like”, because he’s a crazy son of a bitch, and that’s cool. I wish he played the outfield against lefties though.

Byrnes’ career line vs LHP is .283/.343/.508 for a .364 wOBA in 1054 PA.
Byrnes’ career line vs RHP is .148/.310/.409 for a .314 wOBA in 2418 PA.
Wak has used Byrnes twice as much against RHP—23 PA in 10 games—than LHP—10 PA in 5 games—so far this season.
I feel like that's because Wak doesn't really have any other options

96% now. I hate Byrnes with all my soul.
He’s the reason Langersex is in Tacoma and went through waivers. No matter how much he hustles, Byrnes is a retard at the plate, a retard in the field, and he looks DONE as a productive player to me. He also seems insufferably stupid, judging from his clothing line and The Eric Byrnes Show.

I like the he only costs the Mariners 400k.
But I dont care how much effort he puts in if the results aren’t there. He just seems like a “special” little guy that you say “aww thats cute” but you wouldn’t want him starting on your baseball team.
Even if you ran him out there for 600 PA’s, he’s just not going to put up good numbers.

But it might be the different between wacky and cheap vs. wacky and expensive. Thank God he comes cheap.
