I like Erik for now...

as a pitcher. In retrospect, maybe due from his interviews alone, I should have voted “Love.” Hopefully he’ll stay healthy, and I’ll “love” him as a pitcher as well.

I wish there were an ambivalent option...

I put down no strong opinion, but it’s more that I’m torn. He seems like an ok guy, and the injuries and trade aren’t his fault. But I dislike that baggage, which taints how I emotionally react to him.

So it’s not that I have no strong feelings, it’s just that I’m torn between both sides. Give me a half season more of pitching this year, and I’ll probably be swayed in one direction or the other.

It seems like a lot of people want to blame him for the injuries

or that he didn’t try hard enough to come back.

How many millions of dollars has he lost because of injury? It makes no sense. He’s “bad” with the media? Well if he never got hurt and showed two years of Cy Young caliber pitching like hes capable of… nobody would give a damn.
