Texas Mariners Fans
Hello!
My name is James and I have been a longtime lurker, having enjoyed this community from afar for a few years now.
I moved to Dallas, TX after last fall after eight years in Seattle. The Ms are playing opening weekend against the Rangers (April 9th, 10th and 11th), and if anyone is in the DFW area during that weekend, or if there are any other Texas-area Mariners fans, let me know! I'd love to go to a game.
Thanks,
James

I just moved to Austin
I’m poor and 3 and half hours away, but I’m going to try and make at least one game.
Austin is a great city! The Seattle of Texas!
Have fun there! How do you like it so far?

I love it
The Seattle of Texas is a perfect description. The only thing I miss is being able to go to Mariners and Seahawks games and you know, having friends.
Friends are overrated
Besides, you’d just annoy them by talking about the Mariners and Seahawks games you can no longer go to.
Yep, I go to school in Sherman which is about an hour north of Dallas.
I want to go to at least one of those games.

Awesome
Let me know if you do; I haven’t been to the stadium yet. Are there places around Arlington to meet up at?
Will do.
I don’t know anywhere specifically but I am sure that I could find a place.

I am in McAllen
which is on the south border with Mexico. I just moved here with Teach for America. I was trying to fly up and make it to the games on that weekend
I'm actually debating going to the Saturday-Sunday games
Since Felix/Lee would be scheduled to pitch and Dallas is one of the few stadiums within driving distance of Laramie WY and that will likely be my only chance to get to a game all season

Come to Seattle!
Google Maps says it’s only 164 miles further to Seattle than Dallas. And the Summer weather in PNW is much better than Dallas. Just sayin’.
I'd love to get to Seattle- ideally that will happen at some point during the summer.
That 164 miles is the difference between a one and a two day drive for me, though.

Kansas City is closer
And the weather isn’t any worse than Dallas. Plus you get to see all those Bavasi ex-M’s get beaten up by Z’s current M’s. Heck, Dallas is about, what, 900 miles / 14 hours from Laramie? You could get to Chicago in the same amount of time, and watch the M’s play the White Sox. (With a bonus opportunity to see Silva… if Lou hasn’t harpooned him by then)
Yes, but I won't have time to get to Chicago or KC or Minneapolis when the Mariners are in those towns
Believe me, I’ve checked all this out

I'm down for at least a game in Arlington.
I’m going to school in Longview, about 2 hours east of Dallas. It would be awesome to get an LL group together for a game. If we could try and catch a Felix or Lee game, that would be even better.
