Opening Day in Oakland
So I'm thinking about heading down to the Bay Area for Opening Day this year to try and catch the first couple M's games of the season. Any Bay Area-based Mariners fans planning on being there? What about folks from up here?
I'll probably be going to at least the games on the 5th, 6th, and 7th...maybe the day game on the 8th as well. I'm trying to talk a buddy of mine into heading down with me, but either way it would be great to have some fellow Mariner fans to hang out with...

I live in Oakland and my wife and will be the first and second game.
Racer X. You have to love those amarillo hops.

If other LL are around and want to do some kind of get together shoot me an email.
We can take over a bar right before and jump on BART.

This is a good idea.
I don’t know any other Ms fans in the bay area. Celebrating a possible postseason berth in September is a lot more fun with likeminded fans.
I'm in the bay area
I live in San Francisco though. And I’m not yet 21. So there’s that whole problem with me not being in bars.

Ben and Nicks on College in Oakland allows minors or at least there are a lot of little kids in there all the time. You just can't drink and its right off a BART stop.
Shoot your email address I’ll work on some logistics this weekend.

Well, as I said below, I might be getting my wisdom teeth removed.
I still have to coordinate with my parents about when that will take place. I could try and get it done over the weekend and hopefully the pain will subside come Monday night. I don’t have school that week, so that’s not an issue.

The drugs they give you for your wisdom teeth
Are way better than drinking anyway. Bring enough to share!
With enough facial injury and drugs in Oakland, you can fit right in

I'll be there for the first and second games as well.
but I’ve already lined up friends in the Bay Area that I’m going to the games with. Maybe I can sneak around a little bit and find you guys.

Section 218 Row 3
That’s where you find me the first two games. I live in Oakland. On the 2nd game I’ll be taking a friend from India who has never seen baseball before. That should be fun.
I'm planning on being there for game 1 and 2 also
Having the Colosseum as my “home” stadium is depressing. I still haven’t bought tickets yet as my friends are cheap and haven’t completely committed. I have to be there for game 2 though, I need to see Lee.

You'd rather enjoy a Happy Lee Day than a Happy Felix Day?
Shame on you.

The M's have an exhibition game there on Sunday.
I’m heading to that too and don’t have plans yet to meet up with people.

I like AT&T on two conditions
Its not in April, May, or September, and two, it’s not night. Fucking cold.
Also, you gotta make sure you’re not seeing the Reds play the Giants. The highlight of that game for me was Wlad.

The games we went to in September were boiling.

I may be able to attend the 5th, but I also might be getting my wisdom teeth removed.
I’ll have to see how that goes.

I might only get to experience one Lee day!
That and the dumbshit Oakland fans will wonder why he isn’t pitching for the Indians anymore.

No they wont even know who he is.

I chuckled when I opened the sports page and saw an ad for opening day
It featured Mark Ellis. Mark Ellis! I forgot all about that guy.

I'm planning on going to both the exhibition game at AT&T and at least one game of the opening series
(pending work schedule). I’d definitely be interested in meeting up with LLers pregame for either.
I had no idea there was and exhbition at AT&T. We could do a little pregame at 21 Amendment.
It is right up the street from the park at 563 2nd St, so King and 2nd.

I just picked up tickets for the exhibition at ATT on stubhub.
Only 15 bucks for the first row of section 109, there was still quite a few nice seats left for pretty cheap.
Got tickets to Felix and Lee days
Opening day tickets kinda suck, but good for their price, I think. Section 238 in left field. For game 2 I’m on the third baseline.
