Book on the '95 Division Series
Forgive me for some shameless self promoting, but I thought Mariner fans might want to know about my new book out called Baseball's Greatest Series: Yankees, Mariners and the 1995 Matchup That Changed History. The book details the 1995 Division Series between the Yankees and the Mariners. Considering the outcome of that series, I think Mariner fans will enjoy it. I discuss the painful years early years of Seattle (including all the owners, bad trades, etc.), the Piniella led resurgance of the early '90s and all five games of the series as well as the aftermath. I conducted interviews with approximately 70 people involved either with the series or with the Mariners or Yankees in some way during the '80s and early '90s and I think there is enough tid bits and action in there for all to enjoy. The book is now out and can be found at a bookstore near you or online at amazon. Hope you will check it out and, if anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask.

How to make a team centric ad in two easy steps.

Despite the outcome of that series, I think Yankee fans will enjoy it.
I'm curious about having you having an university press (Rutgers) as a publisher.
I didn’t know that academic presses publish many sports books like yours. Does your book have an academic research angel or did you just go with the first publishing house that bit?
Also, here’s the link to your book and the interview with 1995 Mariners, since you didn’t post it.

Also, it’s really cool that you wrote about this. My first baseball game ever was Game 3 of this series (I was just a little kid, and I still remember my dad explaining to me what a DH was), and that series made me a lifelong baseball fan. So thanks for writing it. I think I’ll check it out sometime soon.
I knew what a DH was
And my dad and I couldn’t get tickets to this one. I rested easy, though, knowing that everyone there was probably a huge fan. Till now. Hope you enjoyed my seat, Jerk.
Seriously, though, I’m just jealous. My uncle was at Game 5 with my cousin and I give him crap too. I’m happy you enjoyed it and I’m happy it contributed to making a baseball fan out of you.
I was at Randy Johnsons no-hitter against the Tigers in.. what? 1990?
And had no idea what happened (I was 5) I thought it meant that nobody hit the ball at all. Regardless, I remember it well and went crazy!

My dad told me to be sick and stay home from school
So that we could get playoff tickets. I honestly have to say that being in the Kingdome for those three games ranks at the top of my best days ever. If I could relive the same day over and over again, it would be game five.
I feel like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football. Ugh
I just bought a copy from Amazon
After reading that excerpt at 1995Mariners, there wasn’t any way I could resist. I’m looking forward to receiving it and reliving what is one of the happiest days of my life (Game 5 at the Kingdome).
