The Banner Unveiled
The banner is complete and it looks great! There is no way this thing will be missed as it is very large at 10' by 2.5'. The plan as of now is to carry it when we do our march to the game at noon on Opening Day, so if anyone wants to join us for that it is my understanding that we are meeting at Occidental Park. Royalcurve can correct me if I am wrong on that.
Between Brett, myself and the other guys I share seats with I think we can get this up at almost every game this season. It is a high quality vinyl sign so even with it being taken down and stowed every game I still think it should survive the whole season.
As I mentioned before, I will be offering two seats to a game behind the sign to Royalcurve, pdb, okdan and Englishmariner for their work in getting this done. If Englishmariner cannot make it to Seattle this year we will hook him up some other time. Between the sign costs and my cost for the seats we fell a little short with our funds so I will cover the difference, but sadly no cash will be going to sexy people from this.
I think that is it. I for one cannot wait for the damn season to start. Go M's and GMZ!

And that sign is beautiful, it was a terrific idea, the people that contributed and were involved are amazing.
This is really great, it just about got my eyes all misted up (no kidding). Fandom is weird.
Same on my end

Nice work everyone.
I was kind of worried that it wasn’t going to get done.
Racer X. You have to love those amarillo hops.
p.s. fuck you angels
That's awesome!!!
I love it!
Thanks for helping and contributing everyone! My only hope is that in future years we can add our pennants and WS trophies around the text of the sign!
Can’t wait for the first time we see this on FSN.
Is it too late to make a change to the font or the colors?
I kid, I kid. It looks awesome. Roll on Opening Day!
Awesome!
Can I just go give you some cash on June 22/23 when I make it up to the games? Or I could buy you some beers or something.
Please do not take my comment in the post as a plea for money. Everything is paid for.
We got at an amazing deal on this sign. Retail it would have been around $400, but we paid half that. If you want to throw money around buy beers for the sexy people who are the reason LL kicks ass.
It's so cool that the LL community was able to take a an idea like this and actually follow through on it.
The sign is beautiful, and I can’t wait to see it at games.
Marvelous! :)
Still planning on doing the less-than-sexy people at the Elysian, perhaps the sign can stop by on its’ way. :)
RC needs to make with the deets on that so I can toss it up online, too, by the way.
~I once gave Jose Canseco $15. ~
I forfeit my tickets, Sec. No need.
It looks amazing. Thank you for doing this for us, seriously. As for the march, I think it’s now a bust. The insurance needed for the permit was going to run $600. We will do one when we reach the World Series.

I'll just wrap the banner around Sec 108 and Thingray, then walk behind them for about 20 feet.
Then I’ll hit Elysian.
Won't it be hard for us to walk wrapped up like mob hit victims?
"Fights begin, finger prints are took, days is lost, bail is made, court dates are ignored, cycle is repeated."
Yeah, just Flash Mob it
If you all show up and go for a big stroll together there’s not much they can do as long as you’re not blocking traffic. The sign may make it “organized” but you have to get it to the stadium somehow, right? Oops, we unrolled it because people wanted to see it!
it is opening day and there will be crowds regardless, so you’d have to be doing something pretty obnoxious to get the cops interested. (So the whole excessive drinking from dawn might be a bad idea).

Never.

I'm sorry, I just don't get it

The second one is a bit out of context. If you mean the first one, that’s just mean. I really like Z. I think he’s done a good job. I wish all you haters would get a life.

I don't understand the basis for your unoriginal yet colorful insults
Please elaborate on your frustrations with what is, in my opinion, a carefully crafted and above replacement level contribution.

This looks fantastic!
I’m really happy to see it all complete like this. I’m glad the design worked out well and all that. The power of LL!
Thanks again also for the offer of the tickets, that is super nice of you.
As a sign professional and a distant cousin via the SBN,
I must inquire how much you paid for yon sign.
I must also tell you that any further sign work needed (provided it is not derogatory toward the A’s), I would offer at a significant discount—like, cost plus shipping. To you. But not to the Slegna or the Rangers. Screw them.

I appreciate the offer, but I bought locally which is how I roll.
The PM of the sign company I used is a friend and we send business to each other which I doubt you could do for me. We paid just under $200 which was a very nice discount.
I can't trade business with you, but I could certainly beat that price.
I own my shop.
But I’m not talking about doing business. I’m talking about trying to support fanatical Mariners fans, who, I’m sure, are just as loyal, crazy and fun as A’s fans are. As a gesture of goodwill, not as a money-making opportunity I can show you a couple that I did for AN last season.
And not to insult you or your friend, but that’s not all that great a price. That $8/sq. ft. That’s retail.

Have any WSU Cougs noticed yet
That the chosen font makes the W in “We” look exactly like a Huskies helmet?
It burns me!
Hard work never killed nobody, but I won't take my chances.
It's bad enough we have to share our baseball team with those people!
