It's barely worth even superficially analyzing a guy who's that far away, but the key line from the article is "With [Esteilon] Peguero and Dominican outfielder Phillips Castillo, who signed for $2.2 million in July, the Mariners have secured two of the top hitters from this year's international signing class." These guys are miles and miles away, but the more raw talent you shove into the system, the more polished talent you get out of it. It's like a sausage maker, or a rock polisher.
