Tyson Gillies: 86 wOBA+ in AA, only 113 PAs on the year.
Phillippe Aumont: Demoted to A+ after 38-44 strikeout to walk ratio in AA.
JC Ramirez: Promoted to AA, 81 tRA+ there.

SENT FROM TEXAS
Blake Beavan: 33-9 strikeout to walk ratio between AA and AAA rotation.
Josh Lueke: 32-5 strikeout to walk ratio between AA and AAA bullpen.
Justin Smoak: Terrible with Seattle then 108 wOBA+ in Tacoma and 1.001 OPS with Mariners after promotion.
Matthew Lawson: 112 wOBA+ in 181 AA PAs.

Oh yeah and

Cliff Lee: 103.2 innings pitched, 89 strikeouts, six walks. Six walks. Six walks!

And no longer a Texas Ranger.

Lawson was exposed to the Rule 5 Draft, was he not?

It’s surprising to me that he wasn’t selected. He seems to be fairly polished, as Rule 5 candidates go.

The versatility isn't so much an issue.

He’s been playing at shortstop more recently and might be able to hack it there. The main problem for him is that for what kind of offensive package he offers, he strikes out an awful lot.
