You and Edgar Martinez were already watching the World Series on TV for the duration of his entire career. Now you can do it in the same room! I'm passing this along from reader Pete Livengood:
What: World Series Game 1 viewing party with Edgar & Holli Martinez
When: Wednesday, October 27, starting at 4:30pm
Where: Elysian Fields, 542 1st Avenue by the stadiums
How Much: Free! Admission. Food and drinks obviously are not free.
It's a Martinez Foundation event, and El Zacatecano will be on hand serving its own brand of alcohol, in addition to what Elysian's already got. It's family-friendly, and children are absolutely welcome. A portion of the proceeds from sales will go to the foundation, and you can also get memorabilia signed by Edgar for a small donation as well. The Martinez Foundation does good shit to combat bad shit, so it's a worthy cause.
Something to think about as next Wednesday rolls around. You should go and ask Edgar about his eye. I bet he loves that.

Only $25 for an Edgar Autograph!
Going to a good cause, and he always has a nice signature. At the Team store it’s at least $199 (all of their autographs are overpriced…).
