Not gonna lie - I'm more excited for this night game than I've been for a Mariners game in, what, years?

Meanwhile, that game hardly anyone cares about is already on.

I’m sure last night’s game was thrilling, but the outcome left me irritated and I didn’t even want the Rangers to win.

Well, I'm pretty sure it's on ESPN radio.

But for some reason I am getting horrible reception on that station today…
I’m not sure about an online stream. But here’s Gameday.

I hate both of these teams and their fans so much.

Ditto.

Screw the American League.

Who cares.

What inning will a run be scored in the Phillies/Giants game, is the more interesting question. I’m gonna say the tenth inning, after Lincecum and Halladay both pitch nine inning one hitters. In an effort to protect their arms, they will be taken out of the game and replaced by relievers, who will immediately give up 3 or 4 runs.

I'm a bandwagon Rangers fan because of Lee

But if the Rangers manage to lose this game I’m gonna lose my mind.

Aww man, Joe Morgan on the radio

At least this means he won’t be on for the evening game.

I have learned there is no such thing as a fast runner or a slow runner.

According to Joe Wisdom you either: run well or don’t run well.

Hmmm...

A friend of mine looks like her knees are going to knock together when she’s sprinting. Does that mean she doesn’t run well?

Ian Kinsler also resembles a LOLcat.

Or at least his gameday photo does.

Something warm and fuzzy I'm sure.

Do Rangers fans realize they traded Arod? Fucking idiots.

They still owe him 10 mil, according to Rick Suttcliffe..

It's Arod's fault he was offered 23 assloads of money and said yes?

I know, I regretted it.

It was funnier in my head and it should have stayed there.

No, wait!

I was serious when I asked in the first place. I wanted to know what they were saying. The second reply was the bad reference/joke that I regret.

Whatever.

The Ursus AmericANUS “..At least two subspecies of Black Bear are thought to occur in Texas: the Mexican Black Bear (Ursus americanus eremicus) and the New Mexico Black Bear (subspecies U. a. amblyceps). Both are found in West Texas in desert scrub or woodland habitats within scattered mountain ranges, predominantly the Chisos and Guadalupe Mountains. Both subspecies are state-listed as endangered in Texas..” – Parks & Wildlife

Dogfish Raison d’Etre and Faison Peche for the game….. they any good? As I have no idea!

Dangit. I thought first pitch was 4:30.

I may get to see even less of this game than I thought.

I'm using Chrome and having no problems.

I know .gifs are discouraged in the gamethread but I figured it wouldn’t be a 1,000+ comment episode and thus an exception.

Luis Ugueto is no longer in affiliated baseball.

But he is playing for the Cardenales in Venezuela, biding his time for the inevitable triumphant comeback.

Seriously, we’ve seen Wilson Valdez and Oswaldo Navarro play games in the big leagues this year. What the hell.

This game was so frustrating to watch and without looking I'm blaming the home plate ump's strike zone

It appeared to be fuzzy at the edges. Inconsistent. 6th inning, Halladay was covering home plate after he gave up a double, I swear he said “I had him out”. He said something just prior to to that that stood the ump up straight, “fuck you”? Either way, lousy strike zone, had both pitchers blue balled at the corners. B.S.

by Kermit. on Oct 16, 2010 8:58 PM PDT reply actions

Heh.

The notoriously tough Philly fans came up with a unique way to mock Lincecum instead of the usual boos. They serenaded him with whistles when he batted in the fifth and seventh, presumably poking fun at his long, shaggy hair.

“I must have a really nice butt,” Lincecum said. “I was hearing a lot of them.”
