Gauging Managerial Preference
So we may or may not have the complete list of candidates, but I figured I would run this now anyway to see what you people think. I say "you people" to be intentionally demeaning. When you're done voting come sweep my floor.

My gut reaction was "I have no opinion" because I think it's too hard for me to determine who would be the best fit for this club.
But because of that, I chose Bobby Valentine because I sort of feel like if I don’t know what the “right” answer is, I went with the guy who’s personality I like.

That’s why I voted for him.

Is Ted Simmons out now?
He’d be my choice.

I have no opinion.
Although getting Bobby Valentine would seem like a victory of some sorts with other teams wanting him and his name being well-known. On the other hand, I’m not sure if I would be happy with the pickup. I’m already anticipating that he would do things with the team that annoy me. Any winning the Mariners do would turn into “Bobby Valentine knows how to turn a team into winners!”
The rest of the candidates, aside from Daren Brown, could potentially provide various levels of entertainment. I don’t really have a preference.
Has anyone mentioned that Bobby Valentine has won exactly 0 division titles in his 15 years managing?

Are we holding managers responsible for the talent of their team now?

Did you know that the Mariners have only ever made the playoffs under Lou Pinella?
I think the answer to our management problems are obvious

Just because it may or may not be meaningful doesn't mean it isn't interesting

I don't think it is meaningful in the slightest
I just don’t know why he has the reputation he does or why he’s allegedly highly sought after. He went to one World Series.

I think people are more impressed with his managing record in Japan.
Morgan Ensberg for Manager 2011!
AL Scout on Rendon: "I would peg him as a poor man's Jose Lopez."
If our players are still bad I don't think it matters who is managing
I hope we get new players.
I am going to come into your house at night and rec up the place.

I always held out some hope for Ryne Sandberg.
No matter where you go, there you are.
I actually voted for Brown.
I probably should of voted " I have no opinion" Cause I don’t know anything about these guys and their managerial tactics. I figure if the team is going young next year with some of the guys that were in AAA last year then Brown might provide the most comfortable and calm atmosphere for the players, might take some of the pressure off the younger players.
I'm going to wait until they announce the hire before I vote.
I want to win at least one thing before I die.
I voted for Wedge.
As a rule, Erics tend to help one another out, even when it comes to online polling. I also found myself fascinated with the Cleveland Indians during the middle of last decade. They were a neat up-and-coming ballclub, and I don’t recall Wedge ever doing anything too boneheaded while leading them.
I voted for Wedge.
He’s definitely my first choice as our new skipper.

Who can't get excited about Wedgie?
Fits right in.
I am angry there was no Morgan Ensberg option in the poll.
