The Rangers have never won the ALDS, or any other playoff series for that matter.

They tripled their post-season win total this week.

Which makes me sad. I like having a worse orginization than the M’s in the league. Now the Rangers are creeping up on us.

We say, as the Rays lead 3-0.

This series is going perfectly

Either the Rangers blow a 2-0 lead in the series or every home team loses during it.

Added to the list of "huh, he's still around?" players: Randy Choate.

Not that I should be surprised, given that he’s a LH reliever.

Things are closer than I would like them to be.

Even if the Rangers WE at this point is only 11.5%

Sweet! Valentine just made the comment that Borbon acting like that was ball four amounts to calling out the ump.

And if the next pitch was anywhere close and he took, the ump would likely call it a strike. I’d love to know if that is actually true.

And I don't think the Yankees will be subject to the same swoon a lot of teams have...

where they tear through the first round or two and then get owned later, like the Rockies did.

Granted, I haven't been watching every game of the postseason so far

but it seems to me that TBS taped enough different Conan spots so that they aren’t endlessly repetitive, which is really nice.

They should just have the umpires sit in the dugout with Bobby Cox.

He seems pretty sure he can see the plays better from there than the umpires do from the field.

It's been so long since the M's have been in the playoffs

I’m not sure I could handle losing (again) in the postseason after all of this regular losing.

After watching a year of 2010 Mariners baseball, it does not seem so bad.

Why the fuck is Brooks Conrad playing second while Omar Infante plays third?

Bobby Cox is singlehandedly responsible for that loss. Shifting Brooks Conrad to second is not even like shifting Chone Figgins to second. It’s like shifting Troy Glaus to second.

For that matter, play Glaus or Hinske at third and Infante at second. Could it be any worse?

They ran into a pitching juggernaut.

Luck of the draw and all that. They should be a fun team to watch next year. My possible bandwagon for next year.
