Toot Toot
Earlier today I spent 20 minutes chatting with Tom and Paul of HotStove.com. If you'd like to look at them while listening to me, watch the video below:
Covering topics like Cliff Lee, Felix Hernandez, Casey Kotchman, and most everything else. Personally, I really enjoyed this, because my coworker from Long Island quit last week and I'd gone through withdrawals. Bless you, Paul. I also enjoyed it because as I stood outside talking on the phone, I got to exchange waves with my company's CEO, who didn't realize he was paying me for this.
I hope you guys enjoy this sort of thing, because we're looking to start doing more of it. Later today we'll be posting a trial podcast Matthew and I did yesterday with Field Gulls' John Morgan.

You sort of mumbled, had a hard time hearing you...
I want my money back. Jokes aside, great piece as always Jeff.
I clicked around their website a little bit, but couldn't find a way to download it in MP3 form.
Do you know if it’s possible?

As the Producer of The LLate Day Show With Jeff Sullivan And Friends,
I assure you that I will go to great lengths to keep the audience entertained.
Podcasts?
Next thing you know, I’ll be seeing you guys on cable or something nutso like that. What do you think you are, legitimate journalists?
I’m kidding, of course. Keep up the great work.
I've thrown out the idea of "60 seconds of Zanarchy with Robert & Fogel" at production meetings but it's been met with some resistance.

TLDSWJSAF is going to strive to as legitimate as possible.
We owe it to our followers to put a professional product out there. Think Night Line with Ted Koppel.
I mostly sit back and let Jeff and Matthew talk
No one wants to hear me talk out of my ass about the Mariners.
You, sir, seem unfamiliar with the very concept of radio

I should start recording podcasts about random subjects and my opinions of them
thereby achieving instant fame.
Haven't you heard some of his podcasts?
All he does is go of swearing at random times. ; )
A Mariners fan in Seattle
You'd have to ask them
But this is their setup.

I think I may have figured out how to do a live show.
Though it might have serious delay issues.

Cool
They’re really good guys. I was on with them Monday, but the audio apparently got fucked up, so we’ve basically gotta re-do it.
My Mariners blog - SodoMojo, Twitter Feed, Fuck the fucking Angels!
Yeah, the "WTF Kotchman" moment completely stepped on the glory of the Gootch contract.
That actually pissed me off.
Honestly I never noticed an accent the few times I've met you.
Now that you’ve mentioned it that’s probably going to be the only thing I notice now.
The thing standing between you and normal isn't your accent, sweetheart.

Great stuff, Jeff.
Based on this I still have no idea why people say you mumble.
I mumble in person because I assume everybody's hearing is as good as mine
I talk louder on the phone because cell phones suck.

I like how they start by asking you about the actual terms of the contract.
Yeah, that’s why I want to bring Jeff on my show to talk about.
Jeff, why exactly would someone like Damon be a bad idea?
I heard you say we have too many lefty bats, but looking at the lineup as currently constructed, only Ichiro, Kotchman, and Langerhans/Saunders are solely left handed.
Plus Ichiro hits everybody, and Kotchman really hasnt shown a difference when facing LHP vs RHP.
Would Damon splitting time with Bradley between LF and DH really be a waste of money (lets say it’s a one year deal for 7-8 million)?
Obviously everything changes depending on how low his price gets
But Johnny Damon doesn’t add a whole lot, and if you bring him in then either Bradley’s role is reduced or Griffey’s totally out of a job. As Matthew said, too many lefties.

Hot Stove Video
We have made some changes to the video look after reading some of the funny comments here. I want to thank everyone for watching it and for hinting that we needed to make some tweeks! We can’t wait to have Jeff on HotStove.com again.
