just out of curiosity

why do you do your own WE chart rather than just pasting Fangraphs?

Mike McCoy Status: BETTER BE A SEPT CALLUP
Seth Smith Status: Part of a Good Problem

And by that, I mean...

…say, in the event of an error, I can charge the fielder with the mistake and give the pitcher credit for an out. Fangraphs can’t do that.

that's the one problem I have with WPA

that bad fielding faults the pitcher and lets position players off the hook.

I think 40 is a good goal for him.

Looking at the rest of the schedule, we may not be getting a ton more wins…and if he’s getting tons of saves on consecutive days he’ll need some rest too.

I wasn't able to watch most of the game

But how did Snell look? His line looked pretty craptastic.

One of the first things I checked on my phone when he was pulled

was his balls to strikes ratio. Didn’t look like his control improved much to me.
