You know, Neftali Feliz is amazing and I love him, but somehow despite all his strikeouts, his 77.4% contact rate ranks him between Joe Smith and Justin Miller among relievers with 20+ innings pitched. That's not what I was expecting.

Meanwhile, Michael Saunders sits again. If you aren't going to play the guy against hittable righties...

Has Wak talked about why he's sitting Saunders so much?

I haven’t even heard the “working on his swing” or “tight muscle” excuse.

Ugh. Morrow...

He’s gonna get SHELLED in Texas.

I hope not, really I do, but still. Somehow the Rainiers going to the playoffs is doing more harm than good, and unfortunately extending Miguel Batista’s Seattle Mariners career. UUUuuuuugh.

This signature space for rent.

Shoulder problems maybe?

I don’t know… We seems to fuck up all our rookies somehow any way.

You got slurved!

Fucked himself

by trying to pull everything and not taking any walks. Also had some injuries the last two years.

If we play tonight

there should be lots of rain delay time.

It's a nice day out today

I could be playing outside.
But I’ll be watching this instead.
Blargh.

I just got Twittered that there may be no game tonight – more rain expected.

I doubt that there will be baseball tonight.

Well, crap.

I’ll give it an hour before I give up. How long do they take before they call off games there with a delay?

Personally I hate the Rangers just as much as the Angels.

In particular, I am envious of their awesome young talents.

I was at Shea for the Felix-Slam!
Personal M's record: 5-4.

Good point

The Angels are at their peak now, and they got a bunch of old guys and soon to be FAs. Only downhill for them now.

And the Rangers are indeed irritating now that they don’t suck. Fucking upstarts.

Seems like they should talk to someone else…

The Yoyogster is at the game

Sitting in a luxury box. Looking good and eating free food. The rain is coming straight down. It doesn’t look good. The announcer just came on and said maybe 815 start. I am not optimistic on that at all. Morrow lives another day.

by Yoyogi on Sep 11, 2009 5:32 PM PDT via mobile reply actions

Still raining.

I give up

The rain continues to come straight down at a medium pace. Also there is lightening in the area. I don’t see how they can get this one in. I am gong home.

by Yoyogi on Sep 11, 2009 6:43 PM PDT via mobile reply actions

Eh

I’ll wait until they call it, personally. I have very little else to do…

My prediction:

All 3 days will be rained out, forcing a 2007-Cleveland-esque situation, except hellaciously worse, since it’s already mid-September. I guess if some of those games don’t end up mattering, they probably wouldn’t replay them.

For me personally, tonight is a blessing in disguise…need to catch up on some work, so this is one less distraction.

by appleshampoo on Sep 11, 2009 7:12 PM PDT up reply actions

Yeah.

I wish they’d just call it and get it over with; I’m tired of watching the FSN filler that I’ve seen a ga-jillion times already….

So apparently there is a chance that all three games will be rainouts

And according to some writers in Texas, MLB has said that the games would be made up as three straight double-headers in Seattle to end the season.
