One of my favorite Ichiro catches ever

Though that’s mostly because the camera angle was perfect. “Did he get it?! Did he catch it … ?!”

::glove pops out from behind the tarp::

“HE CAUGHT IT!”

Jap anus relations.

Ichiro is amazing, and that call by Dave was another classic. Glad I was listening to the radio.

As the kids say, "Ichiro Rules!"

We’ve gotten really spoiled with him both offensively and defensively.

One was saffron colored and the other an irridescent striped number.

I’m not sure I would want to see anyone wearing them in real life, but on tv they were so … shiny.

Obligatory Ichiro quote from Jim Street

“Almost the entire stadium didn’t have a good view of that play,” the Mariners right fielder said after making a sliding catch near the tarp along the first-base line at Kauffman Stadium. “I did catch the ball, but even if I didn’t, I probably could have scooped the ball up and said, ‘Hey I caught it,’ and probably no one would have known about it.”

The look on Ichiro's face is great in slo-mo...

There’s a moment that just looks like he’s thinking “Holy crap, I can’t believe I didn’t kill myself there!” I think that’s the least confident I’ve ever seen him appear.

" I love how he doesn't even look stoked to have caught that."

“He just holds it up like he’s challenging someone to deny him.”
Torrid summed it up nicely in the game thread

Ichiro is awesome cool.
