The local play-by-play man has an aneurysm when he calls Bucknor-umped games and has made it his goal to rip the man whenever possible.
“The C.B. in his name stands for Could Be a ball, Could Be a strike.”
“The pitch… outside and—no, a strike. C.B. Bucknor stood there, thought about it, thought about it, and said to himself, ‘You know, I haven’t raised this right hand in a while, let’s call this one a strike.’ Lord almighty, we just saw the replay in the booth.”
