If you watched last night's game, you probably saw the Griffey/ARod commercial about 20 times. I'm not sure what to make of FSN's angle here, but it got me to thinking about what I would love to see during this 4 -game series. Griffey is the "hero-come-home" while A-Rod will always be a villian. Always! Wouldn't it be fun, if for the next 4 days, the fans at Safeco gave Griffey a standing ovation every time he came to bat? On the flip side of that, every time A-Rod comes to bat, he gets the treament he has come to expect since he left. Perhaps this is juvenile. Perhaps it is a little too contrived. However, I do think it would be fun ... possibly even funny.
