New Blog: Anonymous Eagle covering Marquette!

According to Cots, he is arbitration eligible for 2 more years. His updated ZiPS gives him a .368 for the year. Not a bad guy to have on your team.

I'm surprised the Padres let him go, considering that getting him in the lineup was the main given reason for trading away Jody Gerut.

They just traded two center fielders who can hit for Tony Gwynn Jr. and some minor leaguers. I don’t know much about the minor leaguers, but Towers appears to be pretty excited with the PTBNL. Interesting.

According to Dave Cameron

Towers said there are two pitchers that are the possible PTBNL, and one of them has ML experience. I’ll wait this out until I see who the pitcher is, but it looks like a bad deal for SD.

So the Padres are making a run for 30th!

I was at Shea for the Felix-Slam!
Personal M's record: 5-4.

Can Hairston still play 2B?

He would’ve been nice to have if so.
