Want to go to tonights game in Boston? Please?
Hello all- long time reader here. I apologize if this is an improper use of a fanpost, but this is highly time-sensitive material. I am a big Mariner fan, from Seattle, but am living in Boston and am fairly new to town. I have agreed to purchase 2 tickets to tonights (FELIX) game from craigslist at their face value (hard to find for redsox games)
of $50. I dont have anyone to go with, and think it would be great to have another mariner fan there to back me up in cheering for the Ms. It would be great to get back what I paid for it, but I really don't want to have to hawk one and go by myself and be the lone mariner fan among a bunch of jerk Boston ones. So how about $50 OBO? If interested, send me an email at jack.w.bader 'at' gmail.com with your phone number in it.
The situation is a little odd, but it should be a great night to go- FELIX!. I can talk a lot of baseball, as well. Thanks! And I apologize again for the semi-commercial nature of the fanpost.

If I was in New England, I probably would've gone.
Meeting up with people from LL is great by the way. Good luck in your search!

Most people who meet other LL users don't meet them in a motel, so their experiences probably greatly differ from your own and I think it was slightly disingenuous of you not to make baderiscient aware of the fact.
I was at Shea for the Felix-Slam!

Holy shit, Felix is pitching tonight?!
I thought he was going tomorrow night! That’s my evening sorted out then!
To celebrate this I am going to watch the condensed version of the 1 hitter…

GOOD LORD:
- I remember Jeff’s post on the subject, but holy crap I miss the Royal Curve and all those ground balls.
- VIDRO SIGHTING. :(
- Kenji had a great game.
- Fuck the Red Sox fans and their hooting after the hit.
- Lopez showed some great range which I seem to remember being surprised with at the time after his regression, and he’s obviously regressed even more since.
- SEXSON SIGHTING. :(

UPDATE, question
Nobody is responding, a colleague can’t go, g/f is away for weekend. Somebody snap this up!
I am a big enough fan (crazy enough?) to go by myself, I guess… I wonder how much scalpers pay for lone tickets.

I think you have to give these things more time than just a couple of hours before the game starts

Definitely. Also, never try and do anything by yourself.
I feel like Frasier trying to eat alone in the restaurant here.
I did find someone to go: an old classmate who knows nothing about baseball… but beggers cant be choosers! Until next time, you silent multitude of Boston Mariners fans!

The worst that will happen is some heckling, unless you decide to start talking shit, which is what I start doing at Yankee Stadium.
I got ejected last time for starting too much trouble. I was disrupting the self-righteous indignation of the locals.
I hope you die. I hope we BOTH die.

I went to a game last summer in Chicago (US cellular or whatever)
Cheered really loud for the Mariners while we lost 15-3. I was sitting right behind home plate, in the last row, right in front of the concourse where ALL the handicapped people get to watch the game. There must have been 10-15 old wheelchair geezers yelling at me the whole game. After the game a couple of them shook my hand. I think it helped that the mariners got pounded.

You might have been in trouble had they not been handicapped.

Do me a favor, wear Boston gear and if you get a chance to catch a foul pop-up
off an M, catch it in your cap.
