Bedard not going anywhere
Also, both Don Wakamatsu and Rob Johnson think that Bedard may be hurt. I wonder what Bedard thinks?

now that we’re not in contention any more and the farm system is recovering nicely, I am able to look back on the trade and Bedard’s Mariner career and find it really very funny. I mean, who would have thought? And the best part of course is when the whole deal was almost derailed by Jones’ degenerative hip condition or whatever. Anyways…. I guess this means he may reup with us for a year/5mil or something to build some value.

My favorite bit about the whole mess, it took Z about what- 2 weeks on the job to replace Jones with Gutz?
With a bullpen pitcher he gets almost equal calibre player as Jones, (on paper at the time). A bullpen guy, incredible. No hoopla, drama, nothing, the reaction to the scope of that trade blew me away.
