The headline says it all. Two years after the Mariners balked at dealing left fielder Wladimir Balentien for a reliever at the trade deadline, he could now be lost for next to nothing after being designated for assignment this morning.
How very true...
I’d have to think that somebody will try and take him before he clears waivers. I mean, he was being discussed as a possible trade chip, and now we’re hoping to sneak him back to Tacoma without anybody taking him.

I don't want Wlad to sneak his way back to Tacoma.
I want him gone. If Rob Johnson is the new Willie, Wlad has quickly become the new Mike Morse.
