I wouldn’t mind Washburn sticking around at a reasonable price to be a fourth or fifth starter—but thats not what would happen. Washburn at $5 million a year? Sure. Washburn at $8-9 million a year long term? Hell no. And you know that’s what Boras would try to get.

When Stone talks about a free agent about to sign an extension, hopefully he’s talking about Beltre.
