Shit fuck
I am no longer in Spokane, but I think I'll keep the name anyway.
I think we should put Branyan and cleanup and have Cedeno hit third.
Pitchers will realize that they can’t pitch around Cedeno, and he’ll immediately start hitting like Teixeira, according to a fan I spoke to. I can’t believe our stupid retard manager doesn’t know this.
WHAT THE FUCK?!?!

Power surge!
The M’s Big Bats are coming alive.
"I do not buy numbers defensively. At all," Amaro said. "I look at fielding percentage. But that other business? I don’t buy it a lick."
What? MLB.tv freezes and Burk goes yard, lame.

I saw that too.
BTW, what happened to Johjima?
I heard there was a problem with him and the pitching staff last year and this year.
They killed him

I suppose I've been proven wrong
I should really look these things up. I’ve watched him a couple times this year and didn’t realize he actually got so many swinging strikes.

While we're on the subject of Burke, what happened with Johjima and the pitching staff?
I heard something from my friends in WA but what’s your story?
I've heard some pitchers don't like working with him, communication issues maybe?
That’s why Bedard used Burke as his personal catcher last year.
How well does Johjima speak English?
He’s not like Kaz, who’s raised as an American with the fluency of our native tongue?
Kaz also had the aid of have a massive awesome dong to help wow the female reporters

Foul
And as if you didn’t have a career in gay porn.
They said it wasn't just Bedard, but that it was the "pitching staff" which seems to me to include a larger part of the rotation and maybe even the bullpen.
but that it was the “pitching staff” which seems to me to include a larger part of the rotation and maybe even the bullpen.
They also said that the Mariners were making up injuries to keep him off the lineup early on.
I didn't pry because I didn't care at the time;
Yankees fan, remember; I would have gloated to see the Mariners struglling like this if I didn’t used to like them (though not as much as the Yankees) after living in Everett.
1995 was a tough year for us, seeing Donny Baseball go into the twilight.
Say, I think I recognize you.
Did you use to live in Everett, by chance?
by Matthew on Jun 7, 2009 3:21 PM PDT up reply actions 2 recs
Yes, used to work at the naval base.
Was a technician and ate at the mess hall every morning, loved the deserts in that glass rotating cupboard.
Delish!
Then why do you care now?
You’re obviously completely unwilling to entertain the possibility that things could possibly different than the media and old school thinks it is, so why the fuck should we bother taking you even a little bit seriously?
by Graham MacAree on Jun 7, 2009 3:22 PM PDT up reply actions
Been looking at the Gamelogs
He’s worked with other catchers too, though, it had to be more than that. And besides, I’m going on my friends’ intuitions and they’re avid mariners fans.
They were livid for God know what about Johjima.
There’s gotta be something to it?
I don’t know; you’re the Mariners fans.
Explain it to me. What was so bad about Johjima? Couldn’t speak the language? Different culture, didn’t like it why? Bedard pissed in his Green Tea?
There wasn't shit to it.
Stop asking questions that have been answered.

You're making too much of this.
The team was losing last year. Tons of finger pointing. This garbage is non-existent now.
He could not hit the ball.
I am no longer in Spokane, but I think I'll keep the name anyway.
I'm saying that Johjima's hitting can't be the primary reason the pitching staff or the Mariners would be upset with him.
Or maybe the media made too much out of a simple disagreement

Why?
It’s tough adjusting to a different culture.
I had an ok time in Yokusuke, but I wouldn’t want to live there for extended periods.
It’s a fact of the world economy.

It's Yokosuka, not "Yokusuke".
Sure didn’t get off base much, did you. And the local bar down the street doesn’t count.
It's a non-story that the media thought was interesting for a little while but ultimately meant nothing.
That’s really all there is to it.
Bedard's wasn't the most social guy last year, I'm really not sure what was up. Like several people have said, probably wasn't anything.
What’s so bad about Joh? His first 2 years here were good, last 2, not so much. We’ve got a million catchers, each of them with their own problems. Adam Moore in AAA is our best hope.
Dickey should add an eephus.

It seems like pitchers get squeezed with Griffey more than any other batter I've seen.
Sort of like how umps would “expand” the zone when Tom Glavine was pitching out of respect for his veteranness or whatever. Unfortunately, Brooks Baseball only sorts by pitchers and not batters, but looking through Gameday it seems like he gets one that’s clearly a strike called a ball about once a game, maybe more.
It's curious how the Mariners simultaneously try to make fans smarter
while also going on about how awful errors are, and how good a pitcher must be if he has a lot of wins.
So.....
What have I missed?

That’s what they were saying on the radio pregame at least.
Branyan homers don't surprise me.
Both Loafie and Burke homering in the same inning is not exactly a high probability outcome
This is what our offense would look like
if we plated in New York
