It seems like it's been awhile since we had a 3 part gamethread

Even though Mariano is one of the few Yankees who is actually pretty cool
it’d be kind of funny if he blew this save.
Considering how they've been playing lately, this can't be shocking.
Gutierrez ought to be an All Star.
So how many people don't even pull up gameday and just use these threads?
I do it from time to time and it’s… an interesting experience.
When people freak out, I click back.

Looks like the Mariner can fill up some bases also ...
Maybe you guys should go back to playing your precious home run over and over and over.

Do not bring in Rivera.
Do not bring in Rivera. Do not bring in Rivera. Do not bring in Rivera. Do not bring in Rivera. Do not bring in Rivera. Do not bring in Rivera. Do not bring in Rivera. Do not bring in Rivera. Do not bring in Rivera. Do not bring in Rivera. Do not bring in Rivera. Do not bring in Rivera.
Bases loaded...
for Branyan.
If Cedeno doesn’t suck balls.
MAKE HIM PAY BRANYAN

I'm mostly just erect.
"You're so beautiful. You could be a part-time model, but you'd probably still have to keep your normal job."
Inappropriate.
I’m reporting you to the mods.
I find a lot of other team's announcers put a lot of emphasis on the h.

I remember Michael Tucker hit a 2-RBI single off an intential walk way way way back when.
Ichiro’s gonna do that sometime this year. Mark my words.
Full count =o!

Well, could've been worse.
At least the game is tied again.

To bring him in would be to admit that Griff cost us some runs already.

On the upside,
watching the Red Sox try to piss away a 10-1 lead is fun.
It's okay guys, Corcoran might be coming in.
"You're so beautiful. You could be a part-time model, but you'd probably still have to keep your normal job."
OH yes Corcoran will stop the bleeding!

Even Dave Niehaus sounds bored now.
I’m outta here. See ya.

Beautiful.
"You're so beautiful. You could be a part-time model, but you'd probably still have to keep your normal job."
It's all over now, Rivera is indomitable this season.
He only has one pitch but he knows how to deploy it most effectively.
It is a well known fact the Mariners line up is lacking in patience and are weak hitters
The best way to defeat the Yankme’s is to have a lead in the 9th inning and not allow Rivera to enter the game. He is unstoppable.
Best way to hit Rivera
is to go the other way; anything on the inside is going to be sawed off or pulled foul.
Righties have a 1.164 OPS against Rivera when pulling the ball and .639 when going the other way

I predict we will play "baseball"
"You're so beautiful. You could be a part-time model, but you'd probably still have to keep your normal job."
or... "play" baseball
"You're so beautiful. You could be a part-time model, but you'd probably still have to keep your normal job."
Ahh dammit.

Well, look at the LA series.
Lost the first, won the next two. We’ll do that here…
Right? …Right?
Go Nova
We didn't think Olson vs. Kuroda was going to be a win either
It’s baseball, anything can happen

Look how resilient we were tonight
It’s cuz we had good leaders in the lineup like Griffey and Sweeney
My guess is if we'd got to Aardsma we'd know their pain
by Bearskin Rugburn on Jun 30, 2009 8:29 PM PDT up reply actions
That's just plain wrong
unless you’re talking about the urban dictionary version of Aardsma in which case I have no idea and will defer to experts.

Actually I had no idea how far Papelbon had regressed
His strike rate is way down, as are his swinging strikes.

Wel, that was shitty.
I actually bought a Betancourt t-shirt.
Kelly's not a color.
But I guess he doesn’t suck, nevermind.

Jason Marquis is one-hitting the Dodgers
Something terrible wrong with that offense right now
And Hudson and Martin are out of the lineup
But they’ve been struggling bigtime anyway
still haven't forgiven you guys for 95
so i love every beat down we give you
Yeah gosh I bet that one really smarts

A co-worker of mine cited Mattingly as a reason for this.

i had snot running down my nose and tears streaming down my face
then daddy proceeded to beat me until i shut up. i hated the mariners from then on.
And then you grew up to be an asshole!
All those social workers sure are right about child abuse!
How do you think we feel about 2001
Bugger off
Somehow my memories of 2000 are fonder
Guess it felt like more of a ride just to get that point, though now that I think about it, we should have been up 2-0 in that series. God damnit.
I love how someone who's team has won so many championships feels better after talking crap to fans of a team that has won none.

Donnie Baseball retired without a ring
That series meant more to me than 2001. 2001 meant nothing.
Funny thing.
