Branyan should have been listed at #8, at least.
Awaiting the day I catch a Russell Branyan foul ball. I will make love to it.

Branyan is All-Star worthy, freaking idiot.

His number one best free agent signing begins with:
Raul Ibanez, Phillies OF. Before going on the disabled list,
Seriously? A 37 year old signed to a three year deal who just went on the DL? That is the best free agent signing he could come up with? Not that the Ibanez contract was terrible or anything, but it’s far from the best free agent signing in baseball.
Also, this:
5. Mark Teixeira, Yankees 1B. OK, $180 million for eight years isn’t exactly a bargain basement price. But it’s all good so far. The best thing isn’t that he’s second in the American League with 20 home runs after the notoriously slow starter turned in his usual putrid April. Nor is that he’s helped the entire Yankees infield, which spent the past several years worrying about Jason Giambi’s defensive deficiencies. It has to be that the signing still gets under the skin of the Red Sox higherups — though Boston has won all its games against the Yankees thus far this year [Very compelling evidence Jon], Red Sox owner John Henry showed he hasn’t forgotten, writing on his twitter page, "MT curse.’’ That ill-advised tweet may in itself be its own curse.
Oh Twitter, is there anything you can’t do? I knew you were great for sharing all of America’s fleeting thoughts with thousands of other narcissists, but I had no idea you were such a valuable tool for baseball contract analysis.

Also, his criticism of Bradley just shows how stupid he really is.
Bradley, Cubs OF. Who else? He doesn’t always count outs. Of course, if he did, he’d know he’s made plenty of them, way more than his share.
Gee, I wish there was a stat that measured how often a player makes outs. Oh wait, there is. And Bradley’s .351 OBP is actually good enough for fifth on his club despite a .279 BABIP. Not that he’s having a great year, but he isn’t even close to the worst free agent signing.
I can’t believe he got paid to write that. I think I got dumber just reading it.

To be fair, Bradley's sudden power outage is a legitmate concern, and his defense in RF has been pretty bad....
But the temper outbursts should come as a surprise to absolutely no one, and other than the lack of power, he’s been a perfectly decent hitter (the .328 wOBA ranks him right around league-average).. Milton Bradley is pretty much the protocol of a “what you see is what you get” case. He’ll hit home runs, play kinda crappy defense, and smash the Gatorade jug in the dugout every chance he gets. It’s just been the lack of home runs in ’09 that has made him more vilified than usual.
For Heyman to rank him as the #1 FA bust (even though he’s been pretty much the same player minus a legitimately concerning lack of power) is kinda laughable.

Eh, just another trainwreck article by Heyman
The guy really should just stick to reporting trade rumors, his “analysis” stuff is horrible. How the hell do you count David fucking Eckstein as one of the 15 best FA signings while leaving off Branyan?

I'm convinced that he gets off on hate mail.
What’s funny is I’ve found him quite tolerable on the MLB Network. He doesn’t really come across as a blowhard or a raging idiot. But when he sits down to type . . . no thanks.

I emailed Jon Heyman about his list.
oops my bad. i did mention him on mlb network last night tho. thanks, jon
At least he is willing to admit his mistake. And he replied to my email pretty quickly.
